Reviews for BAND – App for all groups

Users in your group can change their comments, posts, etc in the app without a trace of history that it was changed and what the previous one was. This encourages dishonesty and claim "I didn't say it, I didn't post it!" to avoid getting blamed for a mistaken information and avoid responsibility for it. This app is being used professionally too. So I suggest transparency and record holding of activity history is part of this app and make people responsible for whatever they post in it.

I have been trying to add my email to my account for 2 days and it WILL NOT send me the verification code even though its my exact email and this is stupid. Ive never had this happen before and this is straight up broken.

buggy, can't even put up my profile picture without the prompt reappearing and image not saving to server.

Overall a decent app for keeping up with my kid's band events, but I really wish there was a way to copy embedded URLs in posts (not just the "band" post URL), and that there was an option to open links in an external app (e.g. the user-selected default browser instead of always using the in-app Chrome browser)

I personally think that this app is very helpful. I am in many extracurriculars and so this helps me keep track of them all. I also like how you can make group chats within the app so you can just choose a few people to make a group chat with. 5 stars!! 👍👍👍

It's absurd to make such a huge change like suddenly deleting all your old chats for a community/ chat app. The whole purpose of this app for me is to be able to join zoom meetings for a community, but when you deleted the old messages without warning, you deleted my access to my zoom link... wow. great product design guys.

I didn't find the various areas, bands, notifications etc intuitive. there is a lot vying for attention when you are only in one group. it feels overly layered. the designers should consider a simplified mode for users of only one band, where it's closer to a single group on something like WhatsApp. despite the added features I'm sure Band has, I don't require them

It's the best! I really like it and how everything is set up, one thing I would ask is that they will allow me to remove my number without having to replace it with another. And depending on what phone/device you have, I should still see pictures pfps and videos that are posted on band without problems. It also needs some better updates. Other then that, it's a really good app.

When I first started using the BAND app, I was looking for an app that would allow me to communicate with my Girl Scout Troop effectively. I wanted to stop sending group texts which often times didn't get sent to all the members. Plus, I couldn't tell who received the text or who read the text. The BAND app saves me time in that I can post one message to the troop, I can see who has read it, and then know who to follow up with when the deadline approaches. I love the app because I can keep our troop calendar in it and all the parents can access it. Adding events is easy and I can see which parent has signed up. I can add pictures of our events and keep them private to the troop. I can also create a snack sign up sheet. I'm still learning a lot about the BAND app but I can honestly say that I love it. It has made my job as a girl scout leader so much easier. Our troop communication is so much better now.

Read the app description and wow, such a cool idea! Read the reviews, nah, that won't happen to me. Download, sign up... well... TRY to sign up. It is not working. Small icon keeps spinning as I try to set up an account and then continues to say 'Please connect to a network'. Well I can confirm I AM connected, always to a network. Pity. Sounds like an app I would consistently use. May give it a few weeks & download again to see if the kinks are worked out. Until then, uninstalling. Good luck.
