So here's my take on Banuba SDK. I've tried a bunch of AR apps and this one's pretty solid. The selection of effects and tools is really impressive - way more than your typical silly face filters. And the virtual try-on stuff works well and the beautification features are actually quite useful. But it's not without its issues. I've found it can be a little buggy sometimes, and the interface isn't the most intuitive. Still, if you're into mobile AR and want to see what's possible, this is a great app to mess around with.

Pros

  • Tons of different AR effects and tools to play with
  • Virtual try-on for glasses, hats, and accessories works well
  • Useful beautification features like skin smoothing and face reshaping
  • Free to download and use, no need to pay anything
  • Runs smoothly on my older Android phone

Cons

  • Can be a little glitchy and unstable at times
  • Interface takes some getting used to, not super intuitive
  • Gets repetitive after playing around with the same effects over and over
  • Ads can be annoying if you don't want to pay for the pro version

Description

Been playing around with Banuba SDK for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you test out all sorts of augmented reality features and tools. Pretty solid if you’re into that kind of thing.

There’s a bunch of cool stuff you can do – you can try on virtual glasses, hats, and accessories. There’s also some face and body tracking features, like measuring the distance from your face or detecting skin/hair color. And the beautification tools are pretty neat, you can apply makeup, smooth out imperfections, and even change your face shape.

Look, if you’re into AR and want to play around with different effects and features, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – can be a bit glitchy at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re curious about what’s possible with mobile AR.
