Been using the BCBSTX app for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you manage your Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas health insurance plan on the go. Pretty solid if you’re a BCBS member in Texas.
Here’s what you can do: check your coverage and claims, find in-network doctors and hospitals, estimate costs for procedures, and even get your digital ID card. And it’s got a bunch of useful features like that. Took me a while to figure some of it out, but it’s pretty intuitive overall.
Look, if you’re a BCBS of Texas member, this app is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – there are still some bugs here and there – but it gets the job done and saves you from having to call in or log into the website all the time. Definitely recommend giving it a shot.

I've tested a bunch of insurance apps and this one from BCBSTX is pretty solid overall. The design is clean and easy to navigate, and the core features like checking coverage and finding providers work really well. The cost estimator is a handy tool that I haven't seen in a lot of other similar apps. But it's not without its flaws - the app can be a bit buggy at times and the user onboarding could be improved. Still, for BCBS of Texas members, this is one of the better insurance apps I've used.
