I was a little disappointed to see a Christian app have a subscription price. the Christian app Angel is free. it only asks for donation as it should. This app is kind of expensive. 60 bucks for 6 months. however, I was absolutely amazed at how dedicated and tailored the app was to what I specifically wanted to learn. weather it be the about the Bible or books not included or topics or places. the most flexible and useful app for anyone who wants to learn about the Lord or anything Christian. 🙏
Reviews for Bible Chat: Holy Bible Study
← Back to Bible Chat: Holy Bible StudyThe features on this app are amazing tools, I would rate features alone 5 stars however, you have to pay to ask questions/use the app to it's full extension. I'm disappointed by the greed. We need to learn the Bible now more than ever, but people are poorer than they've ever been. This app should be completely free if the mission is to spread God's Word.
idea is good but i hardly ever get a new verse in the morning, sometimes same one for a week straight. today my verse is zoomed in and ai can only read half of each word. bug needs to be fixed. there was nothing changed in my settings and no new updates to my phone were made or needed since i installed this app.
App is advertised as "free." It is not. It's a subscription of $6 a week which doesn't seem bad because it's only $6 which is why they only give you the week price, they know that $24 a month will scare away too many people. Interesting and disheartening to see all these Christian apps using deception and falsities to trick people into feeding them money. $24/month is immensely greedy. The search for a free in depth Bible app continues, I have found them but they are the most basic apps ever
I can see why the ratings are so low. I downloaded the app, and when I clicked on "open" it brought me to the introductory page, which is the logo photo for this app. I can't go further than that. The page is completely frozen. I tried more than once to get on. I have the Samsung Galaxy S21 Android. It seems the people with iPhone have better success with this app. Uninstalling.
I would like to ask, when did the Bible, the book of the Lord start having a premium version, and only works online . Before I even started using it, it already giving me error warnings, no matter how many times I close the app and reopening it , it kept saying the same thing. Now let me advice you to make it better for everyone. 1. Make it completely free and works both online and offline just like the YouVersion Holy Bible , great recommendation.
Poorly designed APP; They advertise that the scriptures will change on your background. it does not function. I installed the widget, supposed to do the same thing and promptly received very poorly chosen scriptures that had nothing to do with my selection. I chose the " teachings of Jesus" and I have received anything that has the word "teach" in it. There are very specific teachings from Jesus. Should be at the core of scriptures they want to show you. I run the APP on a Google Pixel 10Pro Xl
100% AI - all computer generated - the chat, the devotionals, and the prayers. I used it for about 2 weeks and started noticing patterns and similarities in the devotionals. I had suspected it was all AI and now I'm confident it is. If you're ok with a computer "leading you" in God's Word, then it's a good app. Otherwise, don't bother.
I didnt get the notification to cancel my free trial and I now have been charged twice within the same week. there are also NO options within the app to cancel subscriptions but ofc, there is an option to start a subscription. it is a good app and very nice with all the features, but dont play with my money. I ask that there be an subscription cancel button be added ASAP. because I still can't un subscribe.
So far really enjoying the app. My one suggestion is I would like to have the background change each day with the new Bible verse. I see the background options to chose from but I would like to be able to have it randomly pick between them each day. Other than that I love it. This is the most I have read the Bible in my life so it is definitely helpful.
I've only had this app for a night, but I'm actually very impressed so far. The app is clear and concise, has A LOT of options to choose from activity wise. I saw a lot of reviews complaining about the price, but I think for what the app is and the knowledge it has to teach people, the price is actually very low and well worth it. Cheaper and easier than a tutor, for sure. And I can do this from my bed! I do wish they had the Catholic version of the Bible, but nonetheless, I still love the app.
App states it's only a 7 day free trial AFTER you sign in, & at the end of the set-up it states that this app will charge you $4.99 a week, or $29.99 a year to continue using after trial ends. I am just a SAHM. I don't have a wage earning job, nor do I have a bank account, debit card or credit card; I can't even use the free trial, because the app can't successfully verify a subscription payment method. It's okay though, because I can just pick up my Bible & read it for free anytime, anywhere.
There's way too much personal info being collected. I prefer the apps that don't collect and store my data. I've noticed a trend in apps collecting data for a time frame and then selling it all for profit later on. Maybe there will be an option in the future that doesn't need access to my info, for me to study the Bible. Also, I didn't like how I was thrown into a 7-day trial without any warning or agreement from me doing so.
Pretty great app. I figured if I can do duolingo everyday I can do something like this, and so far I haven't been wrong. No real problems, although I have found myself wanting some things (wants, not needs) that are: speech to text being free, and the daily verse wallpaper updating automatically. Those in my opinion would make this a 6 star app (if I could rate it that). Thanks for what you guys have made though!
it's a really cool app, that has beautiful pictures, reflections, verses, plans - for studying some Scripture or for need. however, it'd be nice to be able to look at past plans. I was doing one and it disappeared somehow, and then I couldn't find it again. Overall an easy way to stay close to God's Word.
Welp... Excellent sounding, seemed well thought out, and I legit thought this would be a helpful tool... until you revealed the app only works for 7 days, and your subscription is a staggering $5 a WEEK. Not like a couple bucks a month or supported by donation only like a reasonable Christian service, nah that's not enough. I think it's pretty clear what y'all are in it for. You collected user data during setup, then need to dip in that sweet sweet cash. Immediately uninstalled.
Decent app that I use daily but has some performance Issues. For example, when I start a study plan, the second lesson in the series doesn't mark as complete. I've noticed this specifically in the "Understanding Jealousy and Comparison" and the "Answering God's Call" plans. Not a deal breaker by any means but certainly something worth looking into.
I'm enjoying this app. though I like to listen to my daily content, and frequently, the app will play the daily verse, then nothing else on my daily journey will play. I like to multi task. doing repetitive tasks keeps my mind at ease so when I listen, I can focus up on the content, but if it doesn't work, I have to sit down, and read it, and hope it sticks for me. the voice options worked great for the first 3 days, now I always get an error that "this audio cannot be played"
This is the best app ever, I use it daily. For those wondering, it's free; you don't have to subscribe to anything although there are options to do so to unlock little features that I personally wouldn't use anyways. You have access to so much and it helps you follow the Bible closely, study different courses, and even take a course on an addiction that someone may be going through. I couldn't ask for a better app to strengthen my relationship with God. Big thank you to the developers
I just wish it was completely free to use. $5 a week for a single app is a bit excessive when the bible, study, and chatting is free. Thats the only complaint I have. Otherwise, I love the daily devotional. I love the option to read scripture myself or listen to it. I do wish I could pause it or have it read from the page I left off at rather than start all the way from the beginning and wait for the audio to catch up. I do like the privacy and that I can ask questions and get explained answers.
