This is by far the easiest Bible App I've ever downloaded and chosen to actually continue to read lol. I lost faith for a long time and never wanted to go back to reading after what I'd experienced in my life. It's easy to use. beautifully designed. And simple to navigate with lots of cool features to look into. So happy with just the one excerpt from tonite that I'll likely continue to read and learn with the quizzes and the option to listen to music/or not, to share/or not. And with ease!
Reviews for Bible For Women-Holy Bible App
← Back to Bible For Women-Holy Bible AppIt's always wonderful to read Gods Word. This App makes it easier and comfortable to the sight. The words of meditation are encouraging and uplifting to the soul. And anytime you want to read in the bed the app is more convenient that taking your Bible to bed especially because of the lighting. Also if you should be too tired to read or have sight issues, blurred vision etc.. the app will read the Word to you! So you have everything you need right at your fingertips! You can relax, be comforted.
The verses and prayers are lovely....if you can get to them. The constant ads are irritating. I'm trying to enjoy calming time reading Bible verses but ads are constantly in the way and I can't x out of them. Even the notifications - loud annoying bell but then when you click on it to read the verse, literally 2 seconds later you're bombarded with an ad and during quizzes too, then you can't go back. I deleted this app.
I just can't use it. The notifications are just so disruptive and so loud. And when I get onto the app it wants to send me daily notifications which is what it is doing anyway. The prayers that come across aren't even prayers, its parts of the Bible that just come across as very random. But I haven't gotten into the app much. I'm usually frantically trying to get the very loud booming church bells to quiet as it disrupts everyone anywhere I am. Uninstalling and disappointed.
The app looks good, with a nice interface and easy-to-read text. I enjoyed the idea and tried using it for three days, but the free version turned out to be almost unusable. The ads appear constantly, break focus, and make it very hard to concentrate on the Bible. Instead of feeling calm and inspired, I felt distracted and frustrated. After just three days I had to delete the app because the amount of advertising made it impossible to enjoy.
it's a great app. nice messages. I love the inspirational quotes and the daily prayers. the only issue I have is the amount of adds is kind of ridiculous. after each chapter there is an ad. after the quiz, an ad, if you need to redo the quiz another ad, if you want to check your progress, another ad, so many ads. and the other problem is the ads can be extremely inappropriate. i'm reading the bible, I don't want to see adult novel content, or cash grab apps while i'm trying to read my bible.
I love this app! I don't mind the pop up reminder because it's like always right on time. I may be experiencing a moment of stress and anxiety, that pop up is like God calling me to him. To give him the Glory. To bring my stress to him daily, and not to lean on my own understanding. But I don't like that the app is ALWAYS EVERYDAY saying I need to download the latest version. But I know where and what to read out of that Good Book!! Which opens new chapters and versus to my spiritual journey. 🙏
I love this app!! There are morning and evening meditations aligned with a scripture and a prayer. It chimes like a church bell to call you to each worship session, which is helping me spend more time in God's word. I love the soft, meditative background music it plays, too. There are also daily Bible quizzes that help you delve deeper and learn more. Exception!!
I enjoyed this app at first. Now I'm constantly bombarded with ads, and if I'm driving, it pops up over my GPS, and even if I click out of it, it still opens itself. It gets the job done, but it's very distracting and becoming so bad with the ads that I'm looking for another app. Sometimes, I also get the same prayer within days of each other. Is the purpose of the app about the message being spread from the Creator or about profit?
Just a few complaints. 1) The reminder is too big. It takes up to 1/3 of the screen. 2) The menu that allows you to go back to the homepage doesn't come up at command, it only does it when you go back to a certain page. 3) There's no place to switch what version of the Bible you want. Its good to have a version thats easy to understand but if you wanted to compare versions to better understand what a certain version says you can't do that.
I believe this application would receive a five-star rating if it were not for the numerous advertisements and pop-ups. It is difficult to engage with prayers, scriptures, or even enjoy the game, which is otherwise quite enjoyable, without encountering multiple pop-ups. I would kindly suggest that the developer consider this, as it could potentially lead to an increase in downloads. If it were not for the pop-ups, a five-star rating would be entirely appropriate.
I had to come back and change my review, I loved this app when I first downloaded it. Now I can't go from one thing to the other without there being an ad. I understand ads keep things free but when I'm in church an I need to get to scripture I can't because I have to wait for 2 sometimes 3 ads to play before i can do anything. it's very frustrating when I need to find things quickly......
You can read the Bible, pray, and meditate on this app. There are quizzes you can challenge yourself on and so much more! You can customize the times you would like to pray at, and do specific journeys if you would like. It is a very helpful app! I do really love it! However, I would like to know why for my normal Bible reading on this app, it doesn't track my reading progress the same as on my specific 360 Day Bible plan. I have to manually mark it as "read". Otherwise, great and helpful app!
Great app... but really annoying. I have turned off all notifications, and yet I keep getting pop up notifications all the time and at random times. I can be in the middle of something and the pop up disrupts that and the sound is really loud. It's very irritating. Also, when I do begin to read the notification that popped up, it disappears so fast I can't read the entire message, and when I go into the app I cannot find it to read the entire message. Please fix the issues... I'm deleting it
Nothing but ads or ad loops. I couldn't leave the quiz without seeing an ad, then I got brought back to the quiz after the ad, tried to back out, another ad, endless cycle. The quizzes are also repetitive. Three days in a row now, same quiz. And the notifications are terrible. They're obnoxiously loud clock chimes, and you can't lower the volume or turn it off.
I accidentally hit the amen button, and there is no option to go back to see what I accidentally missed. so I missed morning prayers. also I'm using the free version, and it's way too many adds, and alot of ungodly adds that I wouldn't expect to see that are very off-putting. the ads are a huge distraction from God, I might have to delete the app, but if it wasn't for that the app is almost perfect. unfortunately I am unable to pay to have adds removed for the time being during this time.
I had to uninstall this app because it would NOT stop giving me notifications. It was extremely sad that it made me select yes to prayer, quiz, and whatnot notifications just to use this app. I pray many times a day and do not have to be reminded. These annoying notifications that interrupt whatever you're doing, even phone calls. I went on their settings turned them off, made sure they were off in phone settings, and they have to restarting phone they kept coming at the worst times.
Intrusive reminder for the app to "appear on top" & this doesn't go away with paying for it. If you do the appear on top function, if you need to X it out if you're doing something you'll end up in the app taking you away from whatever you actually needed to do. Also, the app isn't exactly a woman's bible, it's just pink and it shows facts about women. Devotionals aren't geared towards women specifically. And the highlight colors are just ugly for this app. And the app collects too much data.
The app overall is good and I appreciate features like the reminder notifications I can set for myself. However, the biggest issue is the forced half-page pop-ups (prayers, etc.) that appear on their own. There’s no way to disable them without turning off notifications entirely, which also removes the reminders I want. It feels unfair to be forced into an all-or-nothing choice. I’d really like the option to keep reminders without disruptive pop-ups I never enabled.
Great app! I'm still new to the app. So far I really like it. I love apps that can help me to understand the Bible, read daily verses and pray more. It definitely helps when Audio is available. Because I get sidetracked a lot when reading due to my ADD. My mind tends to wonder whenever I try to focus on reading. Plus it helps me to remember. I struggle with short term memory and being dyslexic.
