So here's my take on Bikemap: Cycling Tracker & GPS. I've tested a bunch of cycling apps and this one's pretty solid. The route planning and navigation features work well most of the time, and I like how it tracks all your ride data. Definitely more full-featured than just using the basic maps app. The only downsides are the occasional glitches in the navigation and the map data could be better in some areas. But if you bike a lot, this is a really handy app to have.

Pros

  • Tons of cycling routes to discover
  • Turn-by-turn navigation for getting to your destination
  • Tracks all your ride data like speed, distance, elevation
  • Free to use, no subscription required

Cons

  • Navigation can be buggy sometimes and give weird directions
  • Map data isn't perfect, might not have the best bike routes in some areas
  • Gets a little repetitive after a while if you're not trying new routes

Description

Been using Bikemap: Cycling Tracker & GPS for a couple months now. It’s basically a route planning and GPS tracking app for cyclists. Pretty solid if you’re into biking and want to discover new routes or just keep tabs on your rides.

Here’s what you can do: you can search for your location and find bike-friendly routes, whether you’re in the city or out in the countryside. There’s also turn-by-turn navigation to help you get where you’re going safely. And the activity tracking is pretty cool – it logs your speed, distance, elevation, and all that.

Look, if you’re a cyclist, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this. It’s not perfect – the map data isn’t always 100% accurate and the navigation can be a little buggy sometimes. But overall it does the job and it’s free to use, so worth checking out.

The app itself could be ok, but the extreme unreliability of the service makes it useless. Tracking has to be reliable, simple as that. If the background service is not...

(free version) Has found some interesting routes I wouldn't have known. The different route types is interesting in theory. Latest version crashed at one point when comparing routes. I see...

Great features. good design and overall very easy to use. Just a little pricey for the extra features.
