Perfect app...find a cheat sheet online for your car and you're good to go. This allows you to unlock so many additional features that are hidden and available. No need for computer programs or software for the average person looking to make simple upgrades. It successfully coded everything I wanted, with absolutely no issues. Know your limits and only use expert if you understand what you're changing to avoid issues. Note: most all negative reviews of this app are simply user error.
Reviews for BimmerCode for BMW and MINI
← Back to BimmerCode for BMW and MINIGame changer for my '23 Toyota GR Supra MT! Getting rid of fake exhaust noises, removing unnecessary chimes, unlocking functions and overall customizations!
A good App for adjusting your hidden bmw options. Even for my 2010 E92 M3. Thanks
Works great with my MHD dongle. Nice to make a few things more convenient.
having worked at a BMW dealership for 8 years now, there's a lot of weird quirks about some of our cars that I would like to adjust and change my G20 my mom's f30 friends and other Friends and families cars from i3 i8 M2 5 series and more. one thing I've noticed is I cannot code the new electric cars like the i5 and have yet to be able to find out how to code the separation of brake light and turn signal on G20 but not sure if bimmer code has that functionality
had issues with veepeak connecting/ keeping connection whilst connected to my pixel watch. had for click forget watch for it to work properly
Good app, although some options in demo mode are for my specific vehicle. Customer service is very responsive.
It will not work as advertised for a 2013 Mini. Over $50 wasted and no way to dispute the charge because of the misinformation in the app's description.
Absolutely magnificent. Now, I can adjust my BMW to the most convenient mode for my preference. Excellent software, highly recommended.👍
The app is a total waste of money. It doesnt have the coding options for my vehicle as it says it does, even with the latest update. Any minor changes I make dont save even after coding. Very disappointed.
Awesome app if you own either a MINI or BMW, I bought this to disable the auto stop start in normal and sport mode on an F56 which to me is worth the cost alone but have done so much more with it. Perfect App.
Basic codes work fine but ALL instructions in expert mode are in GERMAN! I Contacted Bimmer code who advised me there are no translations available. So, unless you can read German. Don't buy it, waste of money.
used for E90, E60 , F10 and everything worked perfectly. With their own adapter just so easy to do coding , and now with backup is even better the whole app. Missing features like DME, VO coding for example, but maybe inthe future they can add these too.
Having recently bought a 2009 R56 Mini Cooper S, I swapped out the halogen reverse bulb for an LED bulb. Then immediately had errors, hyper flashing etc! Bought the full version of Bimmercode, plus a vLinker BM+ OBD2 module, re-coded for LED conversion, problem solved! Easy to use and to understand what you are doing. Plenty of other options to try, and works with lot's of BMW cars too.
Awesome! I am so happy I gave this a chance and ordered it. I bought the OBD CX module to go with it and everything works as advertised! I ended up purchasing the full app/software for the extra $60 some dollars.... absolutely worth the investment. I unlocked the full features of my BMW... even things I didn't know I could do, lol. I love it! I have fallen in love with my car in whole new ways! And that's just one car.... can't wait to do my others!
The app keeps crashing when I attempt coding CAS system every time. I get Android based error pop up that states "this app has a bug, try reinstalling it once the developer has provided a fix" good app other than that issue. it's just kinda frustrating as I can only code 2/3 of the car.
I paid for a full subscription in 2019, and was told that it could be used anytime thereafter. I attempted to use it again recently with the same credentials as before, but I'm being instructed to pay full price (again), which is now $10 more. Customer support only responds with instructions on how to reinstall the app claiming it would then work, but it won't. Proper customer service would have been to a have a record of the purchased subscription on their end, to assist and resolve this issue.
Works absolutely flawlessly on my 2011 Mini R56 with the CX Bluetooth OBD adapter. I was skeptical, but what I love is that is the default mode translates everything into English and has most of the standard function controls I wanted to modify (Comfort access and hot & cold bulb checking). In addition to being super easy to use, it also has access to the full set of configurable options, provided you speak German or have the translation handy for every conceivable setting you might want to ever change. It doesn't appear to have any functionality for VO modification, so you can't use it to enable a retro-fitted alarm, for example, but this is absolutely wroth the money for the full version (one time fee, not a subscription) and saved me days of trying to figure out NCS Expert. Thanks!
I was led to believe that I was able to code certain items on a mini cooper after doing the proper amount of research on the developers own website. Finally purchased the app and found that I could NOT code the few things I wanted to despite them all being listed as things I could change on the site. This would sting a little less if the app was a few bucks, but to spend 42 dollars and find that you can't do what was advertised.... kind of fraudulent in my opinion.
The only reason I wouldn't give this a 5 star is that it all really should be in 1 app. BimmerCode and BimmerLink should be 1, and possibly be $10 less in total. That said, it's a good option which is pretty powerful and likely equal to the cost of 1 dealer diagnostic, if you have any DIY automatics knowledge of the systems it can interact with. Don't buy one without the other, in my opinion.
