Used it to see yellow highlighter and same color pen. Helped the writing pop out. It is a simulator not actual black light.

looking at my background lighting up dust I was thinking if theres a black light app for a phone of course there is kinda works ... although I wish it wasnt a complete novelty light and actually produced whole screen purple light

Um disappointed on the fact that this app doesn't have a flashlight link up and the fact that it doesn't work even in the darkest hours of the night very disappointed cause it had a lot of good reviews and this is very disappointing guys u just lost a valuable contribution to ur app

Actually just curious about HOW the led lite for the camera could be a black light. it Isn't. The Screen is the simulator! KOOL! Works just fine with that limitation in mind. Thanks for the toy!

Super cute app,at first glance it is a simple addition u download.It is easily to use and forget to investigate further.I like the colors and the simplicity of it.But I believe I will put it on all my devices.Its a fun app to share and it's constantly being updated.I like it.If you are working a puzzle it may be a piece.

Not a true blacklight, it's just a purple-hued picture of a light. I shone it on my hands which I had dusted with blacklight powder. It should have been neon af, but nope. I then used a true blacklight on my hands, and they lit up like no-one's business.

Duplicates black light perfectly, and I like option for putting brighter backgrounds. Just an idea but screen edge lights to have on without window open would be magyk.

Are people really that naive or gullible..? It's just a color. Your phone doesn't have the capability to output the UV wavelength to make fluorescent objects glow. just a con to show you ads.

Works!!... It's ur actual screen that shows literally a black (purple)image of a real light bulb.coolest part yet is it got an adjustable toggle for brightness.u can trip out on ur plants at night and not worry about effecting photosynthesis...awesome

I'mma save you some time- a black light can not be simulated through a cell phone. It's something that should be well known but black lights aren't just simple purple lights.

Waste of time and energy, it's basically a fake bulb on a screen. If you want an app that actually does what is title is, you came to the wrong place. Pls don't waste your time with this app like I did. I regret wasting precious data trying to download this app. Dont make the same mistake I did.

Does not work! Tested using this app as it illuminates the screen with more of a red glow on a UV / black light tattoo ink. Compared to a true black light. Unfortunate.

●•Something that looks brown/black to the naked eye appears green when a blacklight shines on it-this app doesn't have that effect-despite trying everything =( ●•Has add at the bottom of the screen-Ofc it's a banner style-w/ a bright white background-no way to close it-must be covered up, causing my hypersensitive phone to click everything possible ●•No instructions, one paintbucket icon changes the colors around-idk if 4 looks or if it has any function ●•500 chars isn't enough room to write imo

Read the description provided by the developers. This is intentionally fake. At least they are honest up front about it. "Black light" is only for fun and doesn't produce real black light, "Black light" just mimics the color of a black light.

this is in no way a genuine blacklight. it just makes a purple/pink colored light that doesn't even look like a blacklight.

This app doesnt work but here is something that will work !!! WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE A BLACK LIGHT - A blue and purple marker - Transparent tape - Smartphone with LED flash To test your black light - Highlighter (yellow, orange or pink work best) - White paper

This is not a blacklight. It is just normal light with a purple hue. I know this because my microscopic reproducters did not glow yellow. It also didn't have the special black light hue. This app is a simulator, not actual black light.

I gave it three stars because your phone has to get really close to whatever you are using it on. Other wise it just works as a normal flashlight. Make sure your lights off in the room or it is dark outside. Other wise it doesn't work.

I love it my friend travels and showed me that this app can be used to check if the sheets are clean at hotels. Just to test it' I tried it in a restaurant to see if the bathroom was clean and found filth everywhere. Quite handy to be able to turn my phone in to a black light thank you so much. I just wish there was a way to use it and take photos. The rear light on my phone can also change colors but this app didn't take that in to consideration it only changes the screen color to black light.

I tested it. and it did not work at all even try to change the colour still nothing so I thought my room was clean so I went to the bathroom and still nothing so I purposely made a stain and still nothing 1 star.
