Cameras are awesome. Work great and great quality. Installation wasn't to bad. But the app.....the app is horrible. Extremely slow. Navigating it is a bit tricky(when it works). Currently it is locked on a screen showing "loading" and won't allow any other action. Customer service is also really pushy and a bit rude, but they know what they're talking about. Would recomend the product all day. Might have better luck on a computer than the app.

Initially I was not able to connect to camera using WiFi. After trial and error, I was able to connect. To get working, I had to enable WiFi setting from SD card using PC and also disable data from my phone. Everytime I want to connect, I have to disable data from my phone to connect or else it will be stuck trying to connect. Cloud app works very well and highly recommend setting up the account.

BlackVue kinda sucks. The app's UI is not intuitive, camera is mediocre at best, and it's insanely priced for what you get. 100% more trouble than it's worth. Most of the time the dumb thing doesn't even recognize updates and setting changes from the app. Always frustrated with it. I promise you'll spend most of the time wondering if the camera is even recording because it's usually not even when the record light is on. Buy something else!

You are now required to connect your camera to the cloud to view the GPS, which makes that feature utterly worthless without one of their SIM cards. If I knew that they were going to force me to connect my dash cam to the cloud to use features that previously did not require that, and were completely free, I would not have bought their equipment. The actual dash cam is solid, but the accompanying app and company are at their absolute worst.

I feel like almost every update you guys take 1 step forward and 3 steps back. Why when I open the app I have to sign in? The last version wasn't like that. Why when I open the app it's in explorer? I'm ok it's there but I bought this camera to see my stuff first. Why isn't there an option for dark mode? The camera still disconnects even when my battery pack has plenty of juice left, sometimes the camera won't even connect to the cloud at all. Playtest your stuff before sending it out

A spectacularly clunky app that requires more and more personal information that they can then sell. Instead of letting you connect to a camera you are right next to. Checking footage pretty much requires removing the camera sd card and take it to my computer. This is completely useless roadside, so time for a different dashcam I suppose.

Probably the worst overall app experience ever. Firstly, it's a hassle trying to even get to where you can view footage. Secondly, the app crashes constantly. Thirdly, the fact that I can only be less than 100 feet from the car to have the live footage work is pretty much pointless. Wish I'd saved my money and gone with something cheaper. Wasted 250 dollars.

When you thought it couldn't get worse. This latest update is utter trash. The entire UI experience isn't anything remotely near intuitive. The application doesn't even recognize that I've updated the software version, so it keeps telling me to do so after 3 successful tries (at least that's what the BlackVue app tells me). My connection to the camera is consistantly spotty. I get better connectivity on my transatlantic flights... seriosuly. Don't waste your money on this product.

If you download this app and get lucky like me, where it all works when you download it? DON'T EVER UPDATE AGAIN! Every friggin update brings back bugs they patched and makes worse the whole experience. I hate having to turn off my data to make the wifi connection work. I hate the app not even freezing, but every few seconds putting a message that the app isn't responding and needs to close. So often the app is then unusable and needs to be uninstalled.

I don't know what happened to these guys. Their platform used to be great. I bought one of their cameras in 2015, I used it for about a year and then put it in a drawer. I just took it back out got everything connected and all appeared to be well at first until I tried using the app. I cannot view videos, edit settings, or do anything to control or use the camera without the application crashing. This is a full-blown app crash event as described by the Android operating system. Latest FW too
