Description
Been using Blaze – 4K Virtual Fireplace for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that turns your TV into a nice, relaxing fireplace. Perfect for chilling out in the living room or unwinding before bed.
Here’s what you do: you can choose from 6 different fireplace scenes, each with great graphics and audio. There’s also an option to sync up your Philips Hue lights, which is a nice touch. And you can use it as a screensaver too – just set it and forget it.
Look, if you’re into relaxing apps or just want a cozy fireplace vibe without the mess, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the free version has ads that can get a little annoying – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re looking for a simple way to make your living room feel more hygge.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on Blaze - 4K Virtual Fireplace. I've tested a bunch of these kinds of relaxation apps, and this one is pretty solid. The 4K graphics look great, and the audio is nice and atmospheric. Syncing with Philips Hue is a cool bonus feature. My only real gripe is the ads in the free version - they can get old after a while. But if you don't mind paying a few bucks for the full version, it's a pretty good way to add some cozy ambiance to your home.
Pros & Cons

Every fireplace looks great and usually plays well. I had problems with the app, but the developer promptly addressed them.
Well, I am going to keep it for now, but it's just too d**n rapid. Flames, while far from sluggish, are relaxing. These things are freakin' frantic.
Worked perfectly on Philips OLED with Ambilight. It becomes the native Android TV screensaver, it has a selection of fireplaces so I can test the colors with Hue...excellent! Are the...
