Well, I am going to keep it for now, but it's just too d**n rapid. Flames, while far from sluggish, are relaxing. These things are freakin' frantic.
Reviews for Blaze – 4K Virtual Fireplace
Every fireplace looks great and usually plays well. I had problems with the app, but the developer promptly addressed them.
Worked perfectly on Philips OLED with Ambilight. It becomes the native Android TV screensaver, it has a selection of fireplaces so I can test the colors with Hue...excellent! Are the purchased videos 4k? Because the previews don't seem to be.
[UPDATE] Wow, super responsive developer, bug was fixed within days of having reported it. Works perfectly now on all my devices. The fireplaces look beautiful on our 65" OLED TV. Good selection and very reasonable priced given quality of app and level of developer support.
I bought this for my Sony Bravia tv and some of the videos were a little glitchy in 4k, but in an example of the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, the developer replied to my email (sent on a Sunday night) and fixed it completely with higher res videos - extraordinary. Love it ❤ 👍
This is a nice app for you Smart TV. I would give it 5 stars but it lacks the ability to connect to other Smart Bulbs suchs as TP Links Tapo or Alexa and not just Philips Hue Bridge.
Really nice Fireplaces but useless on any Smart TV that has minimal internal storage: which is all of them. With 30MB of storage you would think you could move it to an external memory storage; you cannot. I will have to uninstall until this gets changed.
Lovely but I wish it was possible to cast the image to Chromecast 1&2. An option to adjust the brightness would be neat as well. Hopefully this will change in one of the future versions.
There are no Christmas fireplaces, no background sounds or music.........perhaps the only thing that this app has going for it is the $2.99 special to order all of the scenes, really.
A really nice app, but could you enable the app to rotate on your next update. I have a Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab tablet that I can hang on the wall. But unfortunately as you app does not rotate the fire display is upside down. Thanks, The update works a treat.
