Love the App itself but there were to many ADs to wade through to get to the passage. I love that I could set this up as a widget and have the verse of the day right on my home screen. you could pick different bibles to use KJV vs NIv (etc). It was easy it use, the passages were great but I found a different app that doesnt have so many ads to get through.
Reviews for Blessed - Bible Verse & Prayer
← Back to Blessed - Bible Verse & PrayerI really wanted to like this app, however, the ads were just out of control. There was an ad at every turn, and you had to hit dismiss 3x for each ad. Priced at $1 per week, instead of a monthly price is odd. My savior wouldn't charge me to become closer to him. I'll find an app without so many ads that is free. Thanks, but no thanks.
About 18 months ago, a friend recommended this app seeing as I was going through a trial in which my faith was tested. It was method in holding on. However, since then it has gotten overwhelming distracting with way too many adds. It went from slightly annoying to intolerable. I no longer have an interest in holding a streak, I have a life that I must return to.
Just what I need. It has now become ridiculous. I use it to get closer to God and better knowledge. I have used this app for years. My goal is to use the app to read the bible daily for 10min/day. I do have a paper copy of the Bible, but I use that less because it is falling apart. With all that being said these ads are getting ridiculous. Everytime I turn a page, ad. Everytime I finish a chapter, ad. Everytime I do anything, ad. My 10min Bible time turns to 30min. or 10min per chpt. PLEASE FIX
I enjoy my time on Blessed. If you don't have a bible available with you all times, it can be a quick alternative to draw closer to the word of God. Basically, it is a bible app that gives you expect tips and prayer guidelines in your approach to learning more about God's words. I find the companion section helpful a lot! It's makes me shape my own ideas, and it works great at dishing out the right information you were seeking. It's one of the best bible study apps ever!
I USED TO LOVE this app and used it twice a day. Unfortunately, they changed it, and its HORRIBLEEEEEE Now. before, it had some ads here and there, but nothing like this. i can't get to a devotional because of all the ads, then there's ads x2 in the devotional.i can't do anything because of the constant ads for everything you click. i've been using this for a long time, and it saddens me. it was part of my daily routine. but the number of ads is HORRENDOUS,so much so that I am deleting the app.
I really love "chatting" with the bluebird in the Blessings section. I've been really upset over something lately, and it helped me see things in a new light. I also enjoy (what I'm able to access) the rest of the app. I'd love to access the plans, but apparently, none are free, and I don't have a way to pay for them. Thank you for an awesome app!
it's okay, it's just very annoying how it has a lot of ads!!! It's like your forcing people to pay For a subscription who may not be able to afford it! I can see maybe a few, but literally every 2 minutes is an ad popping up in the middle of me on there when I'm not live! The ads are taking over the app to where I don't even want to go on there!
This app was perfect for what I needed just a few days ago. I could read and highlight important verses, take notes, and mark a chapter as read. Now, though, I am incredibly frustrated. When the app starts, it forces you to go to the daily verse, then when you click out, it brings up a page that says something along the lines of 'breath and pray' before it forces you into a unskippable ad. It does that after every chapter you read. It had ads before but not like this. This is just greedy.
This app is truly helping me with my walk with God. There's a new prayer every morning and night, which can also be seen if you choose to put the widget on your home screen. Also, as others have mentioned, you can get a personalized prayer and scripture after typing whatever you're experiencing. The Bible itself is also great. You simply pick what version, and you can highlight and take notes. I also really appreciate the breakdown for whatever verse you're reading/ studying.
I enjoyed listening to some of the podcasts in the app. The ads are on the extreme level without paying for a monthly subscription. Lately, in addition to the intrusive ads (some of which seem that the X icon never works and opens the play store), a lot of the pastors on the podcasts really push for donations extremely frequently. So much that I heard one ask for opinions/votes on which name to choose for his podcast with the way to vote was by donating an amount to cast your vote. Canceled sub
It has been over a year that I have been trying to get my $60 back from this app. I have been sending emails and no response. Recently, I discovered that the voice recordings were not align to the scriptures or the Inspiration reads. Therefore, I uninstalled the app and reinstalled to see if that would helped. Welp it didn't and all of my messages about shared plans and scriptures were gone. More importantly, this app took my $60 something dollars and still have not responded to me.
I love the daily devotionals, what is frustrating is the constant ads popping up. also placing the author of the devotional at the beginning is distracting. This should be put at the end with a link stating, if you want to know about the author, click this link. Don't come at me that you apologize for the inconvenience and tell me that you offer an ad free subscription. That seems to be your blanket response.
This used to be my favorite bible app. It used to show all of my progress, the books I finished, and what percentage of each book was read. I completed 90% of the NT and 70% of the OT, and all of my progress just disappeared. all of my notes. my prayers. everything! Now, I can't read anything without an ad popping up. It's like a battle with the devil. they are all game adds that I have actually ended up downloading, which ultimately have taken too much of my time away from the word.
The print is way too small and I can't even read it. why do you not have more accessibility options. I will most likely uninstall this. I would not recommend this at all. I do not want to rate ads. I hate ads they are annoying and they should not be in every single app that you download. it's just a trick. when apps first come out there was never no ads in them now they all have ads. big crack a bull
I love this app, but the ads are super annoying. I like to play the audio because it helps me focus but at the end of every chapter there is an ad. Even when I forget to mark the chapter as read and go back another ad pops up. The premium version is to expensive. The constant ads has made me dislike the app. I will continue to use for morning and night prayer but not to actually read the Bible. Something has changed because it wasnt this many ads before.
I was really hoping to get an app that had less of today's world, and more of the bible. This one seems to flood you with ads every time you do something. I realize they have to make money to pay for these things, but i would rather see the spirit of the app and pay for it then see all the advertisements and get discouraged. I've deleted it. I wish I could try this thing out without getting flooded with ads and be able to decide if I wanted to subscribe but the ads cause me to turn away.
I love this app so much. Love the progress bar, love the quizzes as well. But the ads are getting out of hand. You get an ad when you open the app (which is understandable) but then you get an ad after being forced to look at the "Today" section, you get an ad for switching the tabs, and then another ad between chapters of the Bible itself! Some of the ads are quite inappropriate as well. It's getting to the point where I don't want to even open the app anymore. Will have to delete soon :(
Too many ads and too many stopping points with ads. Feel more money focused now, I preferred when it was simpler. The app also has a loud noise when it opens and a reminder and close reminder very annoying, can't even adjust audio. I've used this app for two years. Bebe was very helpful for me but now it is limited talking. you gotta pay for the ad free options. they have subscriptions and never used the sub because I didn't need two. The app doesn't feel comfortable to use anymore. goodbye !
Yes there are ads but they're not intrusive. Everything about the app is great. I wish I could give it 10 stars! It's very easy to use, I love the "Faith steps", I love the lives that allow you to interact and even speak online if you need prayer and I love interacting with my brothers and sisters in Christ! I've been reporting and blocking the "creepers" who are jumping in my dm's "trying to get to know you better" and who are trying to use the app as their own personal dating app.
