So here's my honest take on Blink Home Monitor. I've tested a bunch of home security apps and this one's a pretty solid option. The video quality is clear, the motion alerts work well, and I like that you can use it hands-free with Alexa. The battery life on the wireless cameras is decent, though it does drain faster if you have a lot of alerts. The app itself is user-friendly and intuitive to set up. My only real gripe is that the subscription fees add up if you want more advanced features. But if you just need the basics, the free plan should work fine.

Description

I’ve been using Blink Home Monitor for a couple months now. It’s basically a home security system you can set up with wireless cameras around your house. Pretty solid app if you’re into home automation and keeping an eye on your place.

Here’s what you can do – you can check the live video feed from your Blink cameras right in the app, even at night with the night vision. And there’s also two-way audio, so you can talk to people or pets through the cameras. And you can get alerts when the motion sensors pick up activity, which is handy. Took me a while to figure out how to customize the alerts and privacy zones, but it’s a useful feature.

Look, if you want an easy way to monitor your home without a bunch of complicated setup, Blink is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the battery life could be better on the wireless cameras – but overall it does a pretty good job. Definitely gives me some peace of mind.
