Unfortunately I must edit my review. Notifications are useless, because the app is lagging. Chose crypto. Clicking on title ends in "There was a network error. Please try again later." + "Reconnect" button which is of no use. Home, Market, Media just blink. All news I want at one placeLive stream Business, Legal English which I still have to master and journalism at its best only available on browser. Excellent for traders or people interested in global finances. The app does not function anymo
Reviews for Bloomberg: Finance Market News
← Back to Bloomberg: Finance Market NewsThere is always something bugged on this app. adverts stuck in a loop so you can't watch the videos, things like that.
Bloomberg keeps trying to charge my card even after canceling subscription. I wasn't able to find option to unlink payment card nor delete entire account. I had to block it on Revolut.
delayed reports!* and owned by a ultra rich 🧃 . likely biased to the population when it comes to delivering news or data to the population. lagging news on here.
I used to rely on this app daily! Now I am not able to view my watchlist without subscribing. Will have to try something else.
expensive, and force you to pay, or else basically you don't need this app since it has incredible limited features, there's plenty of other better app comparing to this
Update review to 4 stars as there's notorious room for improvement; yet I'm aghast at how most negative reviews aren't even of Bloomberg to begin with, but rather mostly 1-star reviewers complaining about the app - well, don't expect an app full of features to run smoothly on old/cheap cellphone; Lite version is clearly necessary, but NOT fair nor useful to those reading reviews, rating them 1-star and just complaining about the App, or actually your cellphone honestly. Otherwise, they're great!
It should be easier—or at least possible—to set and customize notification preferences in detail. Additionally, each time a user selects a news notification, the app takes a long time to open and redirect before accessing the specific news item.
Pop up of subscription offer keeps coming up even after I press the close it. After closing it, it goes back to the main page vs what I was working on beforehand. Please respect user who DO NOT want to subscribe instead of keeping blasting the pop up!
The app works okay when online, but offline functionality isn't great and live news updates simply don't work on Android. They do work on the iOS version of the app though. There's also constantly this weird behavior where the screen goes blank briefly and then reappears. It's quite jarring and unpleasant.
8/20/2025: They still havent fixed the "Your device isnt supported" error when clicking in browser links, particularly youtube ones. It would be great if I could simply open outside of Bloomberg, but app doesnt allow. Also, please lose the new Tiktok length videos, Im here to read articles, not get clickbait. The podcast trend is also annoying without transcriptions.
2025-09 update try to force me to pay subscription, I am not making money with this use I'm not a professional trader. was good last year but not anymore, these data are free on the web, it was easier to make a list of favorites items to find them easier, now it's not an option...
Two releases ago and prior, the app worked fine. Starting in the precious release and in the current release, one cannot go through more then 3 articles before experiencing the app creating and closing. Important article has a video showing the flood? Click --> app vanishes. (Repeat, repeat, give up.) 10/6/25. Bloomberg video cuts out every 5 minutes and shuts down the app. When are you going to fix this garbage? I'm forced to watch a 30-second ad every time I have to restart this app.
Lots of TRACKERS BUILT IN to the Bloomberg APP. Google, comScore, Iterable, Taboola, etc.. I have the Duck Duck Go app installed on my phone, and it shows me the THOUSANDS of tracking attempts hourly. With the DuckDuckGo app blocking app trackers, the Bloomberg app does not work. My phone is nearly new, and it has the latest updates. The information content is great, and I can access it on my computer and block third-party cookies and tracking scripts there more easily.
During the past year the headlines and articles increasingly read as though they're rushed and unedited. That along with over usage of the word's such as "it" and the passive voice of such words as "would", "should", and/or "could". Considerably reduces the sense of professionalism that the headlines and articles use to have.
Video playback is awful. Buggy. Casting is awful. Doesn't work. Cycles back and forth between restarting the video. I'm paying y'all $400 a yr and you cant get basic video streaming correct? Come on. Also, It's the age of AI and you don't have a way to listen to an article rather than read. You offer listening to an article on maybe 1 in 20. Very robotic sounding. Additionally, when you do listen to an article there are no playback controls. No speed control. Do better. Very disappointed.
Bloomberg News is great, but the app needs work. For starters, add a dark mode; also, if I click on a headline notification, it will often take me to the last article I read, then I have to go searching for the article I wanted; and why am I seeing so many intrusive ads pop up, when I'm already paying you? I expect better for how much a subscription costs. I really like what you do from a journalistic perspective. Please don't become irrelevant by exploiting loyal customers. Invest in improving.
Content worth the 1.99 for the first 4 months, but it's definitely not worth 34.99 per month that you will pay after that. It's not simple to cancel. I wanted to cancel, but as it was not straightforward, I procrastinated. I'm trying now, but it seems possible only via phone. I bet most people take on the full effort to cancel only after they see the 34.99 charge... good strategy, Bloomberg
Too many problems to list, a nearly worthless subscription. Additionally, they tried to charge me $329 on a "Automatic" Renewal I never agreed to. I had figured out it was set on auto renewal during the first year and I had unsubscribed but it still auto-renewed. I had to take a significant amount of time to dispute the charge (... even though I was certain i had unsubscribed during the initial discounted year). I will try to avoid buying anything from Bloomberg in the future.
Won't work after update. I had a feeling it was a mistake to update an app that was working fine. Now when I start it, it tells me there's a network error and it can't "reconnect." All my other apps are working fine, whether I'm on Wi-Fi or data plan. It's only Bloomberg that won't start up. If this app won't work, or be dependable, it's time to delete it.
