Reviews for Board Game Stats

If you are a avid board gamer this is a must have for you. Many great features and analyzing tools. My only gripe is there's a subscription model for the bgg sync service which is only 99¢ but I'm not a fan of recurring purchases. If it was like 10$ or some better one time fee that would be fantastic! Also make sure you get the deep analytics dlc!

Absolutely loving it. App works quite well and has basically every feature I would want. Definitely worth the price and I can't wait to see the stats once I get everything I tracked by hand (until now) in! One feature I'd like is better solo support and most importantly a better way to link expansions to the base game instead of just writing them in. That would make this a 5* app. Edit: added in what I was wanting, app is absolutely great! Excited for every new feature. Updated to 5 stars

I love this app! I have had it for over a year now and I love using it at game nights. I have never had any problems using the app, as everything runs smoothly. Being able to see personal statistics for gameplay is amazing because it allows me to keep track of what I play and when I play it. There are several different graph types, and all of the information allows you to plan ahead for future game nights or personal goals that you have. Overall, it is worth every penny you would spend!

Great Stat keeper for Board Game Nerds. I just wish it had a way to specify a couple of things: 1) games you personally own vs those of someone else; 2) adding expansions under the core game vs having them listed as games themselves. It would be really helpful expansion wise then, if they were listable under the game as clickable options as used during said gameplay. Otherwise, I absolutely love the app! It is really nice for keeping score and making 10x10 challenges for yourself.

Nearly perfect app. Makes recording plays a breeze and the sync with BGG is top notch. The only thing that could be improved is the ability to filter plays for viewing stats. For instance, I'd like to be able to filter plays based on expansions or variants, to see how scores vary between expansion combinations. Still, well worth the price!

Great board game tracker, can connect to Board Game Geek and that is awesome when looking for your game. I paid for the extra stats a use it all the time. The only thing I wish it had is a way to combine base games and expansions. They are currently separated but most expansion require a base game to play. I would love to have the expansion as an optional add on when playing a game.

Amazing Board Game Tracker. App can be as detailed as you want it to be. The more detailed you are, the more intricate your stats become. Not a fan of the in-app purchases for a paid app, but still purchased the detailed stats anyway. It's the best, easiest and most detailed board game tracker out there. One thing I can't figure out how to do is assign scenarios/roles chosen for variable games, like aeons end. And, I wish we could rate the games in the app. Other than that. It's perfect.

The app synced easily with BGG. All my games are there. For $3, you get a -basic- app. Which is fine. Does everything you need it to. The main reason I bought this was for the in-depth stats, and that's an additional $3 for it. One thing I would like in a future update: Please give me the option to collapse game expansions into a folder with the base games. Yikes! It doesn't look as sleek when scrolling through Munchkin or Dominion, and there's like 10 of them that are just expansions.

Love this app and love recording all our plays on it, though some things I certainly wish were better. As a data junkie by trade, the dashboarding and general visualisation options are both mediocre and do things in such a way that I reckon the developers aren't data experts. Case in point: It's got pie plots, folks. Pie plots and bar plots and a couple rough timeseries plots that don't add anything. That's about it. However: I still love it. The integration with BGG is especially lovely.

Maybe I missed the detail So I recently broke down and bought the app, started recording my games and about a month later got a new phone. I thought syncing would transfer all data over but it didn't. Restarting my board game logging and group game stats... Edit: yup missed the detail. Still a bit green behind the ears. 5 star. If I could, more for the rapid response from the owner.

Great app for keeping track of plays. But I do have one problem: I just found out the hard way that you don't save all of the hundreds of photos somehow in a subfolder or as a thumbnail or something. I have lots of other apps that don't need me to keep photos like that on my phone. I just went in to look at a recent game's plays and found that the photos I took of it are all gone because they are off of my phone. That was heartbreaking :( I hope you can one day I upgrade it and fix this.

Really fun, solid app. Sometimes the navigation is not the most intuitive. Heat map can not be viewed in portrait. The process of updating expansions/selecting them is kind of a pain so I just don't do it. Would love to see more advanced metrics added to the insights DLC. Also I feel this is completely missing a way to rank games in your collection.

Great for keeping track of your games, but a pain to actually add games to your collection. You can't scan a barcode so you have to search manually. Not too bad, unless you have a game with multiple editions and boxes. You have to search, then add, then go back to the main screen, click on add again, search again, then add the next expansion. Adding zombicide to this took way too long. A far better streamlined "add" option is sorely needed.

Fantastic app for tracking your plays and statistics. This was everything that I wanted in a stats app and more that I didn't know I wanted. Two things... I noticed when I switched phones that some of my board/variants went away. That would be great if that was something that wasn't stored locally. Would I need to get the cloud storage for that? Same for the Game Notes section (not individual plays, but notes you want to look at before each gam play). Thanks!

Awesome way to track board game play in general, but as someone who is building a board game, it's particularly powerful. The stats are stellar, makes purchasing the in-app stats package way worth it and fun to look back on. Only thing it could benefit from would be an app tutorial. There are still a few areas I'm not exactly sure how to best use. Minor thing though as the majority is easy to figure out.

Obviously a very useful application. Some might say essential, myself included, for the board gaming hobby. It needs a UI upgrade, though. Simply looking at a text-based list of anything is not enough. Board gaming is a visual experience. We need pictures, images. Cover art of the games we played and logged into the app to remember those good times we had with our friends and gaming community. This is not out of the realm of possibility for BG Stats. Please make it happen.

Its a good app with some flaws. I'd give it a 5/5 if i could sync with friends and anytime we play a game together one of us added it and we'd all get the option to add it. Or it would auto add and i could delete if i wanted. One of the 2. Thanks! I saw you can send the plays, which is great, just wish it was a tad easier. 😀 love the app otherwise though.

Makes tracking your board games and plays a snap, would also highly recommend the additional challenges and insights modules you can purchase from within the app. The challenges have helped me to play games that would otherwise sit on the shelf. The stats it provides also give you insight into your games, such as if one faction wins more often, or they let you know when you got a personal high score even though you may have lost a game, which is always appreciated as a consolation prize.

I love this app to death, and the newest update is great, but I do have one complaint. Managing stats would be infinitely easier if you could split roles into subsections and assign players multiple roles in a game. There have been so many games where this info would have made for amazing data. Otherwise, the app is more or less perfect! Thank you devs!

Likke the app overall...good way to track games with lots of data 😀 However, we did the 'Challenge'upgrade and it's not putting our games in that we already played this year and it states that it should do that. I've closed the app out and restarted...nope. So, lower rating as it did not work well with putting the Challenge games in. And yes, the dates are set correctly and yes, all our games are synced in... Updating rating...thanks to developer for getting back quickly 😀
