This has been my go-to at home fitness app for over 5 years at this point. The workouts are great though, the trainers for the at home workouts are very motivating and do a great job explaining each movement and variations if necessary. Unfortunately, over the past year or so, the app crashes constantly and as of 3/31/24 - I can't log in at all... really disappointing for a paid subscription for an app that used to work flawlessly.
Reviews for Bodybuilding.com – Fitness App
The new app has lots of potential. It looks nice and it should work well with tracking your workouts, but it doesn't. After each set you record the number and sometimes you have to go back to correct them. Well depending on the stage of when correcting the new number is not saved. At the end when looking at the summary the numbers are all wrong. Also, when building your own workout the interface is not smooth and it feels clunky. Also, won't save the picture
The sudden overhaul to the app completely ruined it. It erased all record of the program I was working on, and I had to start everything over from scratch. Several weeks of progress gone without any way to retrieve that data. It's now not nearly as intuitive to use, and there's no longer an effort tracker, which was useful for tracking progressive overload. Finally, the elliptical trainer doesn't have a set count down timer anymore, and its sets ask for the weight used. Why change everything?
The app was amazing until the last update... The U.I. is hardly user-friendly. It also allowed easy access to see your progress of weightlifting; that could be accessed within each individual workout. Also, the beeping to start each set interrupts my music. This is not to mention how loud it is in one's ears. I have reoccurring nightmares of the, "beep...beep...beep"
Been using it since 2018. The app was completely overhauled recently and it's now almost unusable. Nearly every feature that I found useful is gone (lifting history, a timer between sets, and effort scale for each set, easy to enter set info, etc.) I'll be cancelling my subscription and looking for something to better suit my needs. It has been my go-to workout app for 7 years, but no more.
I had used this app for years. It started off great, now it's not. An annual subscriber, it works less than 1/2 the time. Fails to load, stuck on the main logo page. If you can get past that, you're lucky and will see a wide range of workouts and plans which are great. The content is good, although it's slipped in years, the app though literally makes your subscription worthless.
this isn't an upgrade from the old app... it doesn't have drops sets/track drop sets, it doesn't display the next exercise at the conclusion of the last set, and you have to interact/hit a million buttons to conclude a set. the old app took less human input and gave more information. very frustrating especially after paying to just use the app. extremely lousy.
The Body Space/Fit app was an amazing app for working out. You could track your progress, workouts and network. It was pretty freaking amazing...and it was free! Now, you have to pay for an app that is so subpar, its laughable. Someone let the Good-Idea Fairy loose and screwed the whole thing up. Reinvented the wheel into a block...wth?!?! The app doesn't let you add programs to your profile, no calendar. It's clunky as hell, unless you want merch of course.
They transitioned from the BodyFit app to this app and the recipes and bonus video content of the programs I was following were removed. It's just strictly a workout app and an online store with nothing else to provide. It's been months since they did this transition but they haven't done anything yet to be sure that every program will include all the content included. Until they bring back all the features of the programs, my rating won't change.
Bodyspace was a great app. This push to monetize isn't even done well. Lost all the workouts tracked over the years. This app is more a supplement shop app with some workout plans attached. It should be the other way around. I'll gladly pay for the old bodyspace app. Whoever thought this was good ux to track workouts over the existing app should know how wrong they are.
