Reviews for BodyFast: Intermittent Fasting

I'm on week 3 with a coach and I've lost 5lbs. That might not seem like much but the first two weeks were "training". I'm happy so far. (8/6/20) Update: it would be great if the app was compatible with my watch so I could have a tile that shows if I'm eating or fasting and how much time is left. The same widget that is in the app would work. (4/3/24)

Customer support is non-existent. I paid for coaching when I used an Android phone. Switched to an iPhone and although I log in with the same credentials and can see my progress on both phones, coaching was locked out on the iPhone. Then after resetting the Android, I can log into the app, but now coaching is locked out of that phone too. Even with an active subscription to the coaching. Emails to support are just ignored. Stay away from this app. There are tons of fasting apps out there.

Super helpful app. They really make it easy. Adjusts to your schedule (I work 2-1030pm) & find methods that are good for you, even with the free version. Would 100% recommend to anyone! So much more than weight loss comes with fasting. It personally helps me feel my best bc my body isn't constantly over-nourished and digesting something so it can spend time on other functions. I also find time for all my hobbies & self care again as it serves as a great distraction during fasting periods !

I just finished my 1st week. I like the reminders, and the various options for fasting times. I chose the 14-10 fasting option which lasts from 730p -930a. I was not used to fasting daily (i used to do spiritual fasts for just one day as opposed to one whole week), but this was not bad for me. I also have goals in mind so that was my motivation. I will continue to utilize the free option for now until I can afford the paid option. Its not expensive, but I have other priorities/obligations. Try!

A lot more come with purchasing the coach but honestly the free fasting plans are pretty great without the coach. The reminders before fasting period and when you can start eating are great and there are so many plans to choose to put your own life. And, if you find you have to "abort" a week you can and it prompt you to record what went wrong, so you can learn how to improve. definitely recommend for anyone interested in trying fasting.

If you're looking for an app for intermittent fasting, you're definitely in the right place. However, the cheapest payment for it is 34.99 for 3 months which isn't terrible if you use the app everyday and you're dependent on it. It isn't free, though. As most things these days aren't! Edit: The Dev replied below; however, you can't use this app at all without a subscription. There isn't any "free" features you just can't continue into the app.

I paid for three months of premium, but honestly I don't see the point of it now. You see all the different plans but you can find plans by Googling them. The "coaching" is not someone actually checking in with you in real time. It's more like, thoughts and tips that are sent to you through the app. Not customized in any way that I can see. It's kind of nice that you get notifications on the phone about starting/stopping your fasting but I don't see a reason to pay extra and I won't renew.

Just started yesterday, but so far, I really like it! You can get personalized coaching if you pay a monthly subscription, but as I'm just seeing if fasting is right for me, I don't feel the need to pay and am just following a basic beginner's fasting schedule for now. I'm trying to drop 20 lbs after giving birth to my son. The interface is user-friendly, colorful, and pretty motivating! So far, so good! And I'm not being blasted with ads! (Thank you for that!!)

I just started, but the app seems great. Very user friendly, and I love the notifications. The only thing I've come across so far that I would want changed is the measurements of water consumption. There are some predetermined amounts for you to choose from, but none match what my water bottle holds. I'd love to just be able to type the number of ounces I want. Small thing but it'd be nice to have my water consumption accurate. Other than that, great app.

As a medical doctor, I have been really intrigued by the whole concept of Internittent Fasting and the mTor pathway etc. In fact, I found myself including "intermittent fasting, in almost all of my more recent presentations on Diabtetes and other chronic NCD'S. So, imagine my excitement when I found this app. But..it leaves much to be desired; unless I open up the app, I don't know which period I am in. It's also in dire need of a meal planner if it is to deliver the weight loss it promotes, etc
