Reviews for Bookly - Book Tracker Library

Getting an error when adding a book. It keeps saying "An unknown error has occurred." Clearing cache, clearing data and uninstall/reinstall doesn't work. I purchased the Pro version of the app as well as participated in the readathon but can't add a book now. // Update: Thanks for the response about adding books working again. It does. However, submitting my reading report for the Wanderlust Readathon gives errors. (Says something about unable to register or something)

The app is very easy to use and the timer works well for me, everything Is fine except alot of the features that I would like, I have to pay full premium for. Which I wouldn't have an issue with paying for 1 or 2 features, but paying for all of them for a set price every month? Sorry but like 1 time purchases. Other than that the app works really well to track my reading progress and I will be using it for the as long as I can.

I love the features that the app offers. However, you only get to input/keep track of reading 10 books before the app won't allow you to add more without purchasing their pro subscription. I will probably return to just using my library app/Goodreads when I can no longer add more books for free; but it was nice while it lasted!

Pretty good app, I love keeping track of what books I read and if I like em or not. However, it took me a while to figure out how to submit your reports for the readathons. Had to go to the instagram and send the copy there. Took a while for me to find where to submit it. Other than that, no complaints. Just wish it easier to send in the reports.

I've been using the app for over a year. I started with the free version and eventually upgraded to pro. I want to love the app, but there are just enough nuisances that I can't. Everytime I finish a reading session, it tells me I finished the book. No matter how many minutes I read, and what it tells me I earned, I have received zero diamonds for the past 2 weeks. Occasionally, I will read for 80 minutes and it will randomly tell me I read for much less. It's good, but it could be great.

Edit: It's been about 2 months and the reminders still don't work. I uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Still broken. I really liked this app at first, but then the reminders stopped working. I have ADHD so I set a lot of alarms as reminders. This feature worked for about 3 days and stopped. By the time I remember and notice , it's too late for me to start reading. I would pay for this app if it worked properly, but for now, I'll set an alarm on my phone for free.

Unfortunately, the developers decided to put syncing reading progress behind a paywall so unless you want to pay at least $10 a month, you won't be able to have a uniform database across your devices. As someone who likes to read on one device and track progress and notes on another, this is a deal breaker. I was genuinely considering premium but finding out a basic function was locked was a hard no. Going back to Storygraph.

By far one of my favorite tracking apps. I had a few others before, and there's still some I haven't tried yet, but this one is amazing. I do have the pro version myself, but regardless, it's cute, it's easy to use, it's nice to see how my stats are while reading, like average pages/per minute/hour, I like that you can add thoughts and comments and quotes while reading.

I actually really love this app! Do be wary, you can only add 10 books for free. Otherwise, you have to buy premium to add more. I personally, I love that there's a side option to this, you earn gems every time you read (or watch an ad for 50 gems). Using these gems you can unlock new spots for more books. I love how you can track the book, add quotes, & it tells you how long you spent read a book in total. Great place to keep all my books & stats!

Was awesome, now it's buggy. The app was awesome before the update. Now it's super buggy. It won't let me see my progress on the new calendar past June, and it's not allowing me to add new books, even though I still have 2 slots for books. The timer and book progress still works great, but the bugs/issues that have come about after the update actually makes me want to find another app.

I love this app so much! It helped me read so many more books than I have before. I love how you can add books so easily, but the one thing that I do is not being able to organize the books. I can see the books but I can't organize them to like a series. It also was duplicating half of my books, and whenever I tried to delete them, it would take both books away. I mean, I love the app. I just wish those things could be added/fixed.

I really like the app, but there are several bugs, some of them major. I like being able to track reading time on each book. I like the breakdowns of each book you read. However, everytime I try to generate a report for any length of time, the app automatically crashes. If the app is closed and reopened, I have to go and restore purchases to get access to my premium perks, everytime. Also, the achievements do not properly track books when they are completed in app.

updated 5/18 - can't access paid sub when downloaded to a new tablet & support couldn't fix. (possibly my fault though) - forced to allow notifications bc support didn't know why it had errors but looking into it. - search is a joke. I type the title AND author & it shows tons of unrelated books, or IF the book is there (not often) it's missing info/covers - 90% of the books I read have to be manually entered, or it's missing covers, page #s etc. I'd delete this if I hadn't paid for a year

on the whole, I love this app a lot. there are 2 big issues I have, though, and I don't think I can get past them. 1. the search function is awful. doesn't populate an image or the page numbers most of the time. 2. if you read from one day to the next, it doesn't calculate the different days. I am sure there's some coding difficulty there, but when I stay up till 2AM devouring a book, I expect to get 2 hours of credit for my efforts. not getting it makes the goals part feel cheaper.

I love this app. The only problem I have with it is that on my old phone, which was an iPhone, it would have a dedicated part for adding the characters from your book. Now, with my new phone, a Samsung, I don't have that feature anymore. Is adding characters just an iPhone thing? I'm disappointed in that, but it's still an overall great app.

I love this app. It takes care of everything I need it to and lets me customize the information I care about. The only thing I can think of that I'd love to add is a widget that offers a rotating list of the quotes you've saved from books. One with your saved vocabulary words would be cool too. The assistant gives daily quotes and vocabulary, but the widget would be nice to have on my homepage

I love tracking my books through this app! It allows you to track your thoughts, unknown words (and automatically defines them for you, although is hasn't been working for me recently), reading goals, and more. It has no interrupting ads, just small ads on the top or bottom of the screen. Overall a decent app! There's an option to get pro but you can still use all the essentials without it.

I love this app!! I had the pro version on my iPhone first and then got a new Android about 2 months after getting it. Customer service was super sweet and gave me credit so I could get the pro on this phone, since there is not a way to transfer my account - which sucks, as I had already had several achievements and outfits and stuff. But the main thing I wish was on the Android version was that Apple's Bookly let you add characters to each book with prompts and it was perfect! Pls add that!!

Hopefully, it will be an easier way of getting all my books into one place, mostly I got it for the scanner, but it has some cool features. I'm not sure it'll do what I want, which is to export a list of my library. Im confused by the notification time. I wound up getting rid of the notifications, but now I get an annoying pop-up every time I use the app, telling me the permissions were denied. No change in ratings. Not sure about export capabilities yet.

2 Year Update: I am still very happy using these app! I truly love it! It helps me keep track of my reading and hitting my monthly goals! I love the monthly spreads! Love this app. Such an easy way to track reading times, pages read, and the books read look so pretty with their over picture. I did pay for Pro but it was a good deal for all the added extras. I love the pictographs of the completed books. Setting and accomplishing my reading goal has never been easier!
