I like this program a lot, but I would like it better if there were listing pages for a series instead of individual books. So, if I search for "The Expanse," then the results have a page for that series instead of only listing each book separately. It would also be cool to have book listings all unify around a single page-- like how Goodreads has only one page for each book listing but shows whatever edition's cover art you search up.
Reviews for Bookshelf-Your virtual library
← Back to Bookshelf-Your virtual libraryThis app has everything I want, with a beautiful, intuitive interface. If you are a visual person, you will especially love how books are listed with customizable covers in a rapidly-loading scroll with no lag. The filtering and sorting features are great, and recommendations are organized into categories with subcategories. I was able to import all my books in under two minutes. There's no limit to how many books you can add, and they're super easy to scan in, using the app. Highly recommend.
Great app with free features that don't have a short term limited trial, so you can get a real feel for it. Wish it also had a web based verson, even if just for pro so for those who want to log in their audio and ebook collection also, we don't have to type it on the phone. Scanner works great. Wish it offered ways to could duplicate version, like if we have ebook and audio versions of a print copy, with out making a not for it.
I almost cried. It is that easy to scan/bulk scan. I spent hours adding to Librarika for it to lock me out. I then tried Library Thing- not bad... But this is SO easy. I just clicked each book I had entered on Library Thing and it found the ISBN within seconds. it *maybe* took 10 minutes to add all 70+ books. Press and hold a book to add a tag- the tag doesn't exist? create and save. it is flawless integration! Can't wait to start lending ❤️
I'm obsessed with this app. I can do everything I want & more: I can track what I'm reading, track the pages & dates of what I'm reading, create tags & bookshelves, read book summaries & reviews, & even catalog my entire library. I moved from GoodReads to this app & I couldn't be happier. It's beautiful, works well & is easy to use. It also has a community. There's a paid version with more perks, but I'm completely satisfied & content with the free version.
Amazing app, works SO well! The barcode scanner actually works even for my obscure books or different language books and it picks things up sooo fast. The app is intuitive and has a clean UI. I love the layout and ability to add different shelves/categories, tags, and wishlist items. It is perfect, so happy with it! Best I've found so far! Fun way to see your books and what types you have!
I love this app and have used it for about a year and a half. It makes it easy for me to organize all my books and I do recommend it to all my friends. However, I've slowly seen ads be implemented which was fine when it was sprinkled throughout. Now every time I save anything in a book I'm getting 10-20 second video ads. I understand ads are required to keep the app as good as it is but the ads are becoming overwhelming. I feel like I can't do anything in the app without receiving an ad anymore
Easy to use and not all junked up with extra features. I love adding books to the shelves, and it's been a lifesaver to check if I already have a copy of something while I'm browsing used bookstores for example. I like that shelves can be shared with a link so others can see what you have in your library. 100% worth it!
I absolutely love this app. It helps so much with keeping track of both the books I've collected and books I've already read and passed on. I use the search feature to see if I already have something and both the scan features have made my collection really easy to keep up-to-date. I also like that there are several choices in how you can sort and arrange titles. Update: I have been using this for years now and recommend it to every reader I meet. I can't express how much I appreciate it.
This is a really great app for categorizing your books personally, without a social component. However, lately, there have been annoying and intrusive ads that pop up in the most inconvenient ways. It used to be just a static image that would show between adding books to your shelves and you could just "x" out of it. But now videos play and they always have an "x" embedded in the ad meant to trick you. I don't want to have to start over but if these ads continue I may have to look elsewhere.
I had been looking for a way to track what I read, and although this is made for books since it allows "books" to be added manually I have been using it to track my fanfiction reading. The app allows you many options of detailing what you read, how you felt about it, where you got it from. It really is perfect for tracking all the different authors I follow The only thing that would make this better is if I could access it on my computer/laptop
I absolutely LOVE this app! I've had it for several months and I've had zero problems. well one minor problem w one or maybe two of my 160+ books came up w the wrong cover or maybe the wrong book entirely, I can't remember. But this app is free and EXTREMELY convenient ! it does everything I could hope an app like this would do. I think I'm gonna upgrade to pro just to support the app when I get the money. it's not overly expensive, I'm just poor. but again, I love this app. Thank you folks !
I really like the app so far, I switched from a different organization platform because that one was so buggy and slow to update. The one thing I miss is a subsort option; I dislike that the default option for multiple books by the same author is alphabetical by title. I wish I could sort by author and then by publication date so that series remain in order. Other than that, really great app!
Love this app! I've been using it to catalog my personal books for 1-2 months. My favorite features so far are: batch scan books; scan ISBN number (not just barcode); sorting books onto different "shelves"; and, searching for books by title/author to add to my shelves. The wishlist feature seems good too but I haven't had a need to use it (yet). I don't have a paid version of the app, just free, and it does everything I need it to.
All-round, great app. Really helps me keep track of what I have on my shelf, from where, how much it was, and even if I've lent a book to someone, when and to whom. The scanning barcodes feature is great, but I have several books that it doesn't pick up, and some ISBN numbers or book titles and authors don't show up; which then means I would have to manually upload those details to the database. Tedious, to say the least. This is most often with my older books, but some new ones too. Recommend.
I've only just downloaded it about 5 minutes ago but I already love it. I think the only thing that could make it any better is if I was also able to read my books through the app, BUT that isn't really necessary since I have the physical copies, it would just be a nice little bonus. The app as it is is amazing and I love it and I am so glad someone created it. I have a HUGE book collection and this will help me catalog, organize, and keep track of all of them and which ones I've read or not.
OH. MY. GOSH. This is THE BEST app ever to keep track of your books. The fact that you can batch scan them in is so cool, and there are so many helpful features. It's not something you have to pay to get the most out of it, and it doesn't cram ads down your throat. I recently purchased lifetime member to support the devs because I like it so much. Life changing if you are into books! 11/10 would recommend.
Best bookshelf app I've used yet. My one request would be the option to create sub-groups of shelves, that way I could separate the books into series. Hoping that it is on the creators to-do list in the future? I'll continue using it regardless. I listen to 3-5 audiobooks a week, so it's nice being able to keep track of what I've read, what I haven't, and what book is being released when.
I've been using this app as a premium user for I believe a year now and I absolutely love love love this app. I use it alongside bookmory to keep track of what I have and what I'm currently reading. It took me until now to realize this app has a wishlist so you don't have to make a separate shelf for one 😅 but it's a great digital organizer and makes it so easy to organize what books you have by genre (or however you choose to organize). I highly recommend getting premium!
Nice and simple to use, not-annoying ads, no limits on how many books, all on free version! Duplicates are the only thing that I am sad is behind the paywall, but it also is a nice alert that I already have the book. Also haven't found a limit on number of "shelves" so I can keep things organised to match my physical system.
