So far this App has kept me up to date on the news that is most likely to affect me. A recent example is the news about all the fires in Oregon. I live in Salem and we were on level 2 evacuation notice. Level 3 is get out now. Don't wait buging out is mandatory. This app kept me uptodate on everything I needed to know, I am very impressed with the service and will continue to subscibe as long as it stays this nearly perfect. Kudos to the BREAKING NEWS Crew for a very usefull App...

Digraceful app full of racists with little to no moderation. So this is a helpful app but every time you check out an article, then read the comments below there are many users who are using the 'n' word constantly among other offensive terms paticulary a nasty user called 'Mrs SAZ'. As mentioned there is pretty much no rules, you have the option to block people but the users themselves face no consequences. If this app was run professionally i would gladly give it 5 stars.

This app looks very good and just what I was looking for. However, I live in Spain but speak Enlish and there is no means for changing the language. Also, I cannot connect to YouTube to access videos which may relate to the first problem. Sorry guys but it needs more work to improve accessibility.

If you're an Independent, or generally like getting the same story from multiple sources for a more balanced perspective, this is your go to. Seems early in development yet, but I think they're aiming at being the "Pandora" of news feeds. Needs more support, but I love where it's going. Just signed up to be a Beta tester. Also, great avenue to stories you may not have come across through a single MSM network. Really excited to see how this unfolds, especially if the commentator community grows. Five stars.

Have to uninstall this app! Alerts appear when the device is on the lock screen which is rendering my device nonfunctional. In order to use the device, I have to click on the alert. If in a place where the alert will not load due to connection issues, the device is unusable and have to wait till the connection is restored. Have turned off screen notifications but popup news still appear.

AVOID THIS POS APP!!! This app just installed and REPLACED MY LOCK SCREEN WITH IT'S OWN LOCK SCREEN, compromising MY SECURITY THAT I HAVE, ALREADY INSTALLED ON MY PHONE! I had to re-enter my biometrics and PIN! As an example of a TOTALLY FUBAR experience! Unless having your lock screen 'replaced' (and whatever else it does, supercedes and replaces whatever else is on your phone), doesn't bother you, download this app. FOR EVERYONE ELSE, DO NOT DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THIS APP!

Myself and around a dozen friends have been using this app for a while , initially I liked it but ALL of us are talking about deleting it due to the torturous amount of ads that continually pop up in front of where you are reading making it impossible to enjoy the experience of breaking news , I've been looking at other news sites and will be hitting the delete button on this one when I find a replacement

The application works fine, biggest issue found is it is data hungry, when opened and reading articles it uses massive data, even when only reading and not watching 150mg less than 2hours that's a little rough by my standards. The developer has given an explanation to the high data use. Strange when the news sites are opened directly then the data usage is much lower..... Neverless the app brings you news from all over.

All of these news apps are garbage! NONE of them display local news, despite using your location. This app, in particular, you can not even use location because when you attempt to click on location within the app, it will NOT highlight. It shows news everywhere else. I've downloaded all of these so-called news apps and NONE work as they should! U N I N S T A L L E D

Installed this morning since I can't seem to find a breaking news app that even halfway works, and I've tried THEM ALL. This one is not much better since it was used for 20 minutes and sucked 5% of my battery. It seemed to work fine but I can't have an app used so little taking up so much battery. It was the highest battery usage app except for my screen and Android OS. Promptly uninstalled and STILL on the search for a breaking news app that doesn't have issues.

Looks like it could be a great app, no option to enter in local manually. Uses internet for location no good in rural area. So no local for me. App doesn't share properly to facebook. When it does share, no news article body just the ad to install the app and article title. Share is awkward in that after hitting share closing the tab is impossible. Sometimes it won't share

Clickbait stories only, vibration control, can't access app settings without creating a log in account. Used for five minutes, got vibration notice, can't change it, UNINSTALLED. Update: Only used it long enough to find it vibrating my phone sending me messages, no setting to stop it from vibrating, dealbreaker. There is no screenshot for that and I don't want to reinstall. It might work fine if I create a log in but no prior knowledge it was required.

I really like this App and I'll rate this as high as a 5 because I want everyone to write a review first and then Download it from Google Play Store. What's the difference between reading online and offline? I don't understand what that means. It's very difficult to comprehend what it's saying and don't know what happened all over the United States and beyond. I just got a New Phone from US Cellular after I got rid of all of my Information, Memories, Data Connection and Settings from the Phone.

Bugs need to be fixed. The experience is so disruptive that i had to uninstall. I understand the need for ads (people need to get paid) but the ads take over the entire screen and every time when i click on the news, a bug happens. I assume it's an ad that's trying to take over but it results in the entirely white screen instead. So i have to go back to the list of news, select the one i wanted to read and open it again hoping the experience is better. Last it did it twice in the row, so bye bye

Starts based on very short amount of time. Seems it won't let me enter and save my country and City/state, so no local information. I'll use it for a bit and see how it goes. UPDATE It can't up and asked for location in order to improve Local news. It had my city in the entry, but no way to same it. I saw a manager search icon, clicked it... Nothing. UPDATE 2 I finally determined that my city is not in whatever search they do. Would be nice if it said that rather than do nothing at all.

Way too many alerts. I deleted the app when I got a breaking news alert about the coast of Georgian Bay looking very photogenic this week. If I want to "see less articles" like that I have to remove "local news". I downloaded the app so I could get news. Not snapshot suggestions. And I certainly don't want audible alerts on my phone telling me a photo opportunity is at hand.

The user interface is terrible; You get a lot of ads that look like news articles and there are too many of them, the tabs content doesn't really fit their titles, the font and background colors don't look right. The comments don't seem to be moderated at all and you find lots of misinformation and slurs on them. To top it all off: There's a section for user groups, and there's one called "Whites Only"... 😬

Something broke recently. "Sleeping time" in settings is always set and can't disable. The time is also fixed and can't be changed. There's no "do not disturb" enabled. Uninstalled, cleared cache, rebooted. Re DL, still sleep time is enabled active. Notifications come through, but they're silent even know they're set with sound. (Sleeping) is next to each notification, breaking news, trending etc.

I thought today as I was tiring with my usual paper I would try this. What a big mistake that was! After looking on here I find too many distracting ads, no thanks, uninstalling. Don't know much of what's available on here as I won't be looking any further on here. Tried clicking one item then it decided I would be looking at an alternative breaking news item, that was of no interest to me, as I had already seen on my usual paper & not on the item I clicked.

UPDATE - now starting to get too "addy" #shame really like the app. but too many notifications for cities, areas, that have nothing to do with me. too many that don't even mention "where" literally says in the description, "local" news. should be able to filter out things more, or click a notification and give it a grade and reason. for the grade. but today? thinking of deleting it cause too many of the "breaking news" notifications feel like click air. I have to click it to see
