Once again unable to log in. I have deleted cache, and uninstalled and reinstalled. The App was working fine for months, then the problem cropped up again. It's frustrating to pay your fee regularly and have this happen, not once, but twice.Since this latest update I cannot log in. The app will not send a code by text or email. I just get a grinder that never resolves. I wish I could roll back to the earlier version that worked. Quick and easy help when I was fighting no money or gas! Thank you!
Reviews for Brigit: Cash Advance & Credit
← Back to Brigit: Cash Advance & CreditIt was 5 stars but whenever there is a small discrepancy, you'll be directed to someone (chatbox) that will not really be as helpful as you'd like. Instead of understanding how to resolve the issues, they tend to give the run around unfortunately... UPDATE: my account was charged although the repayment date reflects otherwise. No humans to help resolve this issue. Just don't use them at this point. Systems faulty.
I've used this service for a number of years. I had no problems until 3 weeks ago. I make enough money to qualify, but its saying the pay dates are not correct, in which they were. I had no choice but to delete my account. It's too frustrating to wait until Brigit decides to get my dates correct. Earnin is way better!
Too strict requirements to keep access to instant cash, even if you pay membership fee. much better aps are out there that work with their customers, who allow multiple advances a month and more for free. not nearly enough features here paid or otherwise to be worth wasting time on. used over a year and by far the worst app out there for this niche.
I have been using this app for a few years, and it's one of the best indeed. It is very straightforward and not complicated like others. Very open with everything in general. The only one complaint that I have and is displeasing is they DO NOT adhere to an organized membership withdrawal. They take out membership on sporadic dates, sometimes twice a month. That is aggravating at times. Thus, the three star rating.
I downloaded the app and didn't realize that I subscribed for Briget+. When I noticed that I had subscribed to Briget+ ($8.99 subscription fee), I immediately went back and switched to the free subscription. As a result of being subscribed erroneously ( less than an hour), I was still charged $8.99. Warning: if you are subscribed for any length of time, these crooks will charge you $8.99, even if you subscribed to Briget+ or Briget Premium in error.
Cash advance works pretty well. However, it only allows you to borrow money if you subscribe to their membership. Also, the way the membership cancelation works is very unfair. For example, I canceled my membership recently, and I will still be charged for next month membership even though it hasn't started yet, but also it will be canceled. For this reason, I deleted the app and won't be using it again.
I have used this app for a long time. Today I had a repayment due for $162.99. When checking my bank statement Brigit deducted not only the $162.99 but also $160.99. After contacting Customer Care they said I missed a payment back in April. If that's the case, why was I able to receive reborrowing each month if payment wasn't made 4 months ago? I think they are double dipping. Watch your bank statement!
it's OK. first time was approved of $120. was deposited within 24 hrs. they gave me an option to extend and pay it back another month with no interest so that was cool. however beware of your subscription renewal. they took out 8.99 end of the month. if I would have known I would have not extended it. and... I'm sure I cancelled it after I paid back so I wouldn't be charged again but they charged me. also they lowered my cash advance down to $105? why? I paid on time? 🙄
While it does allow you to borrow $50 after a quite long application process, you need to pay about $5 in fees as well as subscribe to a $10 a month membership to recieve that $50 (it is not transparent about this until you finish). So the fee to borrow $50 is about $15. They will also never raise your limit even if you continue to keep your subscription and pay off every loan on time. It will always stay at $50. Canceling is very difficult, so they dont expect you to do it. Shady app
it is okay for what it is. I would say in aspects better than dave because it gives you a consistent amount of money for an advance and even if it is paid late technically(from what I can tell). Two problems: Because it will give you $50 guaranteed if paid off, you have to pay an $8.99 fee. on top of this, if you try to pay it a day or two early, it will not let you know due to it "processing", which kinda sucks for me.
This app has caused me more stress than relief! I've been a client for a couple years now and have benefited close to nothing. I was told that my debit card never matched my account but I had no other debit card so I had to wait days for the little $50 they were willing to loan me. Now I have simply had a phone number change...SAME INCOME...YET I AM INELIGIBLE FOR ANY ADVANCE NOW. Yet, they are sure faithful in taking their overpriced subscription fees. Zero customer service.
The app is good, but it doesn't allow you to choose what account you get the Instant Cash sent to. By default it's set to your primary account. That's why I'm borrowing money, because I don't have it in that account. Why do I need $$ sent to an account that's low, or in the negative? *Please allow an option to have the Instant Cash sent to a desired debit account.* Thanks!
The advance is not actually instant like it advertised. They have 0 customer support to call, and when you email the company you are emailing AI. This is a gimmick and they just want to take a monthly fee. Brigit also incorrectly gives an error that my bank account is not associated with the card I am attempting to link, but I have never had that problem anywhere else. A very terrible service that tries to charge you a monthly fee without functioning properly. Would not recommend.
if your cash-strapped and really in need, id recommend money lion or Dave. the cash advance is way too small for anything but gas money, and you have to pay a subscription just to get that. subscription cost is way too high for what you get. the free version is really just credit monitoring. you can use credit karma or at least a dozen other apps for that.
Had the app for almost a yr and still have the same advance. Can't speak to anyone because they have a chat box instead of real people. then you get an email basically scripted to say the same boring thing. For 8.99 a month 50 bucks when I need it is not worth it. Not to mention it takes 5 business days to process your payment. So if you need the money right then and there you have to wait til you almost get paid again. Horrible!
Good so far. You need direct deposit where you have a constant flow of money being deposited every week or biweekly. You start at $25 but so long as you pay it off on time, the amount will increase. They charge a $2.99 expedition fee, otherwise 6.99 a month, not taken from the $25 you first receive. So I'll see how this works out and will update later. but so far, so good.
Very bad!! Wish I'd NEVER used them. They tried to say they got disconnected with my bank 4 times. I had to go bank info again each time. I got an email saying I have the first month free. Then I got a text saying my account was past due!! It was due on the 30th and they sent that message on the 29th. So it's the 30th and they didn't take the money out. I went back into the app and tried to pay it myself instead of the autopay. It said I was unable to pay my advance EARLY!!
This is a great app if you want pocket change like $50 or under. What I didn't like is they want you to sign up for a subscription but even when you do that, the small advance amount doesn't change. Also, if you delete your account, they still claim you owe them the subscription fee for another month. Once again, only use this app if you need spare change.
I really like this app because it's easy and straightforward. I get a cash advance and then it automatically takes it back out of my paycheck. It pulls the money out quickly from my paycheck which I appreciate. It's really everything you could want. Obviously you need to have steady direct deposit going into a regular bank account but if you have those boxes checked then you're probably good to go.
