Description
Been using Bullion Test for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you detect fake bullion coins by analyzing their resonance frequencies. Pretty solid if you’re into precious metals and stuff like that.
Here’s what you do: you just hold your coin up to the phone’s mic and the app will tell you if it’s real silver or not. There’s also a YouTube tutorial video which is super helpful. And the app can actually detect frequencies above human hearing range – pretty cool.
Look, if you collect coins or invest in bullion, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – sometimes it has trouble with certain coins – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on Bullion Test. I've tested a bunch of coin and precious metal apps, and this one's pretty solid. The resonance frequency tech works surprisingly well, and it's way easier than the old manual 'ring test'. And i like that it's simple to use and doesn't require any special knowledge. But it does have some issues - it can be finicky with certain coins and doesn't always give clear results. Definitely not perfect, but if you want a quick way to verify your bullion, it's worth a try.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Resonance frequency tech is a clever way to detect fake coins
- Super easy to use, just hold coin to phone and get results
- Works on coins the 'ring test' can't handle
- Free to download and use
Cons
- Can be inconsistent with certain coins
- Results not always clear, takes some trial and error
- Occasional glitches and bugs
- Might not be 100% accurate for really high-end bullion
