Been using CakeCost for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you figure out how much to charge for your cakes and other baked goods. Pretty solid if you’re a baker or cake decorator who’s tired of guessing prices.

Here’s what you do: you plug in the ingredients, the time it takes you to make the item, and any other expenses. CakeCost then calculates the total cost and gives you a recommended price, including the profit margin you want. And there’s also a really useful feature that lets you compare your prices to the market rate. Took me a while to figure that part out but it’s super helpful.

Look, if you’re a home baker or small cake business, you’ll probably find this app really useful. It’s not perfect – the interface is a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job of taking the guesswork out of pricing. Worth checking out for sure.

So here's my honest take on CakeCost. I've tested a bunch of pricing and costing apps for bakers and this one's pretty solid. The core functionality works well - I like how it factors in all your costs and gives you a recommended selling price. And definitely helps take the stress out of pricing. The UI could use some polish, but it gets the job done. Compared to some other options out there, this one feels a bit more approachable for casual bakers. Overall, a handy tool if you struggle with pricing your cakes and pastries.
