I’ve been using the California Roping app for a couple months now. It’s basically a directory of all the different roping events happening around California – team roping, breakaway, tie-down, ranch, you name it. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: you can browse all the upcoming events by date and see details like the association, producer’s flyer, and location. There’s also a feature where producers can submit their events for free, which is pretty cool. And the search function – took me a while to figure that out but it’s actually really useful for finding specific events.

Look, if you’re into roping or just looking for rodeo/ranch events in Cali, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the design is a little outdated and there could be more filters – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re in that scene.

So here's my honest take on California Roping. I've tested a bunch of event directory apps and this one's pretty solid for its specific niche. The core functionality works well - you can easily browse all the roping events happening around the state. The free event submission is a nice touch too. But it's not without its issues. The UI feels a little dated and the search/filtering could be improved. And the lack of a rating system is kind of surprising. Overall though, if you're a roping enthusiast, this is a pretty good app to have on your phone.
