Reviews for Caller Name Announcer

Last update took away the capability to announce and read texts. I uninstalled, then reinstalled the app and it is working great again. And now, after another uodate, text function doesn't work again, so I'm Uninstalling.

When I began using this app, it was great. Now, when I get incoming calls, I'm getting two calls at the same time with different numbers. If you block the one you're not familiar with, you're also blocking the one you are familiar with. If you can fix this, it would be an awesome app to have!

love to know who's calling in case my phone is not beside me and if they don't leave a message after the answering message comes, I can go back to see if I know the number. When they hear my voice and to leave their name and number so I could return call, they usually don't and hang up. I then know it wasn't a call I would have taken anyway, friends and family know to leave me a voicemail or I'm unavailable. Recommend this app.

Love the app until the last update. Now the app does NOT read out the caller number and does NOT read out the incoming text! I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Still not working! Will give it two week for the company to issue new update to fix above issues. Meanwhile will look for replacement app.

I thought I had this app once before and it worked well for me I guess it was the wrong one. This one never announced to call because they all said "anonymous" even if it was one of my contacts! I was really displeased with it and don't suggest it. Perhaps you need a stronger better phone than mine but it's just not any good in my opinion.

I have to change my review as I misunderstood what this app was actually suppose to do. I looked up phone call recorders and this popped up too. I can't remember if it announced my calls or not so I'll give a couple extra stars for the trouble. Idk if you have control over how it pulls up during a search but if so you SERIOUSLY NEED TO ALTER THAT so you don't get more bad reviews like I gave. Good luck! And I'm sorry about that.

I like the way it announces who's calling and unknown numbers I only wish it could tell me who the unknown numbers were

It's a good application, it does what it says it does. I find it helpful when I am in another room amd it's inconvenient to take a call just then. It announces the callers name amd with spam calls it announces the number. It usually blocks unknown callers, if it's a number you want to keep you can unblock it.

No more unwanted calls.

this app works exceptionally well, my only gripes and the only reason i did not rate it a 5 is that there is no setting to adjust the voice volume, or a setting to play only the call announcement instead of it trying to announce calls over the ringtone and after each announcement it " pops up" the caller information which disrupts the GPS when im on my motorcycle or driving which makes it extremely frustrating to navigate especially on the motorcycle.

apparently this app only announces callers who are on my caller list. the announcer sounds like she's in a tunnel and would be hard to understand. you didn't tell me it contains ads until after I had installed it. I don't want any more ads. They don't do the advertiser any good because I never use them and it irritates me greatly. in fact if I ever needed what one of the advertisers is offering I wouldn't call them simply because they have irritated me so much by popping up when I don't want to s

This seemed like what I was looking for however with both phone and app volume turned all of the way up, I could not hear the call announcements. Uninstalled. EDIT in response: Permissions were granted. The announcement did work it's just that it was very low volume and could not hear them unless I had the phone right next to my head.

This would be a great app if I could figure out how to get it to announce callers from my contact list. My husband phoned & left a message that I ignored because it announced him as "unknown caller". I had an old app that would not only announce callers but also it announced who I was receiving a text from. Maybe if you had a more complete "help" section that addressed these problems it would help.

What good is it if you can't here the announcement? Its so low you can't here it. and I have missed a lot of calls because of this app. There's a delay because of the announcement before the ring starts. not to mention the ads take up about 95% of the screen and whenthe id pops up it's like all in your face it's hard to see the information you're actually looking for. Uninstslling.

the call announcer is good for you when you are really on the go. you know a app is good when it screams your calls for you.
