So here's my honest take on Callipeg: 2D Animation App. I've tested a bunch of drawing and animation apps, and this one's pretty impressive. The tools are robust without being overwhelming, and it's got a professional-level feature set on your phone. The interface takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty intuitive. Not gonna lie, the ads can be a pain, but you can pay to remove them. Overall, if you're into 2D animation, this is one of the better mobile options I've found.

Description

Been using Callipeg: 2D Animation App for a couple months now. It’s basically a 2D animation tool for your Android device. Pretty solid app if you’re into creating cartoons or illustrations.

Here’s what you do: you can draw frame-by-frame animations, do keyframe stuff, and even make storyboards. There’s also a ton of organization features like arranging your shots, tagging them, and searching through everything. And the large canvas and adjustable frame rates are really useful.

Look, if you’re an animator or just like playing around with drawing apps, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the learning curve is a bit steep and the ads can get annoying – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re into that kind of thing.

This is feature-dense, so I still have exploring to do, but coming from ToonBoom Harmony and TV Paint, I feel RIGHT at home! Callipeg is by far the best application...
