I've been using this app for the past 6 years, and it has always been great. But I just updated the app today, and with the addition of the new "streaks" header on top that you can't hide, it's apparently lost all of my food diary history outside of the past 6 months! I used to be able to go back to any year/month/day on the calendar to see my calories consumed, but apparently all of that data now shows up as no calories cataloged for any day I click on. If it ain't broke, don't fix it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Works great! I read somewhere that it's the best app to use in terms of the free side, and I think I agree. Tracking weight, workouts, calories, and percentage of macro intake have been super helpful in weight loss. Only problems are with some UI trouble. Deleting a saved meal is difficult or impossible, I haven't figured out how to do it. Clicking on things accidentally happens, as it can be finicky. Overall great experience!

I have just started using this app and have found it to be the kind of app I've been searching for. I would happily change the review to 5 stats if there was one change. I would love to have more control with the portion sizes. It seems to only show the serving size on the package. Have the option to be able to have the different options to choose cup, slice, pieces, tsp or tbsp, etc. and not having to do the math, would make this the perfect app for me.

Can't get on the app today on laptop, which is what I always use. Instead get an ad about new features. And only seems to want either tablet or phone. Is the laptop version no longer available. Have used the free app for years. Have tried phone before but find the laptop version much easier and more intuitive to use.

love this app. easy to find specific food to add to your food diary, if it's not listed, just add it yourself. I really like the nutrients breakdown also, since i struggle to get the proper amounts of iron and protein. I've been using it regularly since December 24', and it has helped me keep focused on my goal. I've lost almost 30lb.

I have been logging food and my weight for a few months now. It helps SO much when nearly every single entry has a weight to it. So I can make recipes and weigh my portion, and get a much better idea of how many calories I am consuming. The ability to just scan a package helps a bunch too. But the option to add my food entries by grams using my kitchen scale helps to keep me on track. I've tried a LOT of other calorie counter apps, but none does as good a job as FatSecret.

I've tried MyFitnessPal and Myplate apps and this one is superior by far. At least that's what I thought until I encountered all the bugs. I just spent 45 minutes entering a new recipe and the program won't let me save it. I've Triple Checked and all the required entries are present. This has happened multiple times. So I'm done with it.

I love this thing. I have lost 34 pounds over 2 years by counting every morsel and not cheating. Even though we work out 3x/wk, I've learned that it's control of going in - rather calories you're burning - that is the key to weight loss. (As my 98-year-old mother says, "Wanna lose weight? Easy - don't eat!!") The database let's you find most any food you eat, and you can put partial amounts (.5; .33; etc.). I recommend use of a food scale to keep you honest. Great great great.

Love this app. it's bigger, more open. Easier to read and navigate, especially for the elderly or those who struggle with technology Lots of daily information can be a bit much, but you can read or delete as you desire List of your regular foods can be saved, so you don't have to search every time It makes me accountable seeing my tracking and progress in front of me It points out how many wasted calories I used to eat daily and why I put on the weight Give it a go. Only weight to lose

I've been using the free version of this app for the past 6 months. I'm trying to maintain my current weight rather than lose weight. For health reasons it is necessary for me to monitor my sodium and sugar intake. this app is perfect for that and I found that it is very easy to use. I especially like putting homemade meals into the cookbook and also using the saved meals feature. If I have a question or concern, the folks in support promptly respond and are very helpful.

Truly a fantastic and free resource for tracking your diet. I've tried pretty much every tracker over the years and came across this app in a buried post on reddit. I can't stress enough the superiority of this app - even comparing this free version to paid versions of ANY other app for food tracking. Macros, goals, the actual logging of the food, the accuracy of the food library - I almost need more than 500 characters to express how much I've enjoyed this app.

This app has managed to keep me on track for two months now. It's not always easy to log your food, especially if it's something homemade and you basically have to add all the ingredients. And having the water drinking tracker as a premium upgrade seems a little strange. But overall, for a free app it's been perfectly sufficient for what I need.

I do so far enjoy this app. Pretty easy to log food and exercise. My main issue is the app doesn't distinguish between total and added sugars. It'd be additional help to see how much added sugar I'm consuming. Additionally, the graph would be even better to see the breakdown of macros and being able to choose what to see.

Great app 👍 it has kept track of all my progress throughout the years and it's an easy way to help me stay on a deficit. My favorite thing about it is the barcode scanner, especially since it's a free feature unlike with other apps. Also, their newsletters are very informative and have helped grow my knowledge about nutrition and health.

great tool for tracking meal stats. I would like for it to have a setting to allow you to pick which display is default on the daily or weekly stats (calories, macros, nutrients). I would like to have macros for the current day always shown by default. currently, it defaults to weekly calories after every food entry.

I don't care for it. I like Yazio better. Yazio tracks your calories burned and adds it to your allotted calories for the day. This app shows you calories burned but doesnt add them for you. Sure I could do the math but I paid a lot of money for premium. Also, it does not have a fasting timer. Sure, I could just set an alarm on my phone but again, I paid a lot of money for the app. Not super impressed with the features here.

Would be nice if you had the option to choose between calories and carbs for your default. I can still search foods to find out how many carbs are in a food. But a cab counter would be nice. No way to edit foods after submitting. Auto correct turned deli into delicious. No way to fix it. Also need a way to store your favorite foods so you don't have to search the internet every time for something you use on a regular basis. Can't delete an exercise if you change your mind. still no carbs.

I absolutely love this app. I had tried other apps, but this one, by far, supercedes them all. You get to track your macros, nutrients, your calorie counting, exercise tracking, etc. This app really has it all. I have actually had my friends and family switch to this app. It has made me rethink my food choices and brought me back on track to switching to a sensible and healthier diet. For now, I am on the free version, but down the road, I will definitely go premium for the added benefits.

By far the best app I've found yet for tracking calories. However there is a annoying lack of control and management of the data. The user only has limited options to delete or edit entries and when they do there seems to be some residual data left behind that skews other stats and charts. Basically, if you never have to delete or edit anything, everything works perfect. If you do then you will notice anomalies and other odd things. Still useable but truly takes the user experience down a few.

Forced to use the app's calculations and can't adjust your own. For some reason, the app thinks I should only have 1500 calories a day to maintain weight. I currently have ~2200 a day and I'm _losing_ weight. If I only had 1500, I'd be a skeleton. But the app won't let you adjust the count yourself, you just have this accept what they set for you. What rotten garbage.
