I’ve been using Camera Blocker: Anti Spy Guard for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you block and disable access to your phone’s camera with just one click. Pretty solid if you’re worried about spyware, malware, or surveillance apps trying to secretly record you.

perhaps pro is better but 8 can only give the trial 3 stars as it turns itself off when it's most critical for new when I'm asleep.
There are annoying warnings for apps that don't have camera access (or "ask each time" option), and even for aps that are not on camera blocker's list.
