By far my favorite editing app since 2021. Simple and easy to use! However, since last year I've noticed more and more features being hidden behind a paywall. Don't get me wrong, the Capcut PRO subscription is definitely worth (I had it for a month and it was so much easier to make edits). But I almost NEVER have the money to pay 10 dollars a month just to properly use an editing app, and it sucks that more and more stuff is being paid. Love the app. Hate the price. I am not paying $10 a month. My Netflix with ads is cheaper. My editing app is free. Tons are free. Maybe if it was cheaper, I'd pay. And some of these videos I can make with my editing app except the AI ones, which I like using for my cat. I'd give 4 stars if it was free or cheap because it is slow with uploading the AI ones and gets stuck at 99% for a few minutes

I used to swear by this app and even bought Pro for its speed, features, and ability to edit 4K footage without compression. Now it lags unless I compress, which takes longer than editing itself (a 3-min clip = 22 mins). This defeats the main benefit, quick edits without needing a laptop. What was once seamless and efficient has become frustrating and nearly unusable.

Don't get me wrong, it's good for editing; It has everything you need!..... behind a paywall. Before, I used this app frequently for editing and many of my projects, and it was useful and accessible for many! Until they released the update for the app that probably caused most of the issues. Now all my favorite options that I used to use for editing are now pay-to-use. let alone, I feel that the only thing they are advertising now is their "ai features". for short; not accessible and sloppy.

To really use the app, you're paying for it. I'm trying to figure out why, though, minus the removal of the watermark and some effects. VN Video Editor allows importing LUTs, CapCut doesn't on mobile. I can access my external files on an SSD with VN, but not with CapCut mobile. The list is long, but those are two MAJOR problems. When you pay for a subscription, these should be basic functions.

As someone who actively uses this to edit, it's all of a sudden glitching when I move an audio and shooting it all the way to front from where it's at. It goes to normal when I click on it, but it continues to have this weird glitch, and I don't understand it, and this is the first time in forever where this has happened. I suppose it's time for me to find some other way to edit, because the pc version lags my computer so much.

I love this app. It makes me so mad that now basically everything is pro. Also, there's a lot of bugs. Like one of them, I can't use any animations that aren't pro. I can't afford pro, but I've literally been editing on this app for like, 4 years now. It makes me so mad that I just can't use some things. And I also can't look at the edit normally without it, because it's laggy either way. Please fix your app. And try to be a little less money hungry.

use to, the app was fun in all. personally I didn't care much that everything was going pro unlike everyone else, but that's when features I usually used were disappearing. like for instance you can no longer make your text fade out you can only let them fade in, and then some bugs like not being able to zoom in on stickers you've added this is. why I'm making a 1 star

I've been editing and using this app for 3 years. Best free app out there and now it is not. Sure, most of the non-useful features are free, but the more important ones are not. The most basic features like smooth slowmotion now cost money. The standard and pro subscription is the worst. For an app that was only downloaded because it's free, being $180 a year for BASIC features is a huge downplay. So disappointed.

good app, easy to use, great songs, and lots of choices for animation and effects. it's a little slow when uploading, and I don't like that there are some great animations locked behind pro mode, but other than that, good app Edit: It became more of a pain to use. I was searching for a like and subscribe animation thing I found by accident to put on my video and I just can find it. and everything similar is locked behind a pay wall.

I loved this app and would use it to make my edits. I still am currently just until I get the hang of a different editing app because the app has become usable if you don't buy Pro. I loved Caput because it was easy to use and didn't have a watermark. However that has changed as I now have to jump through hoops to be able to make my edits.

The free version sucks. Every effect, font, and transition is a part of the Pro Plan and the Pro Plan is far too expensive!!! The free version limits your creativity and design. Basically all you can do is edit your clips and have a basic video. This is ridiculous. It used to offer more effects and options years ago but it got greedy. I refuse to pay over 10 bucks a month 🙄 I'll be deleting this app. Just sad that it didn't live up to the hype.

I used to be really happy with this app. Its okay, but it became really money-hungry and not only that, but it also basically has no good audios. I've also been having the problem where I just can't comment. Like that feature is completely gone. All it says is "commenting isn't available in your region" and same with some templates. My only highlight is the community, if you find the right people, they're nice. Just fix your problems Capcut. . .

I like the app and all, but they NEED to fix the lagging. Whenever I make a video it lags almost the whole time and my phone just lags after. The only way to fix it is to get the pro membership which is 10 dollars a month. If they could just fix that, and not make it so you have to get the pro version, this would be 5 stars. It could also just be my phone, but I'm 99 percent sure it's the app.

It's a good app, don't get me wrong. Easy tools for a good outcome, but you can barely access ANY tools. Almost every tool is under a pay wall, and it's more worth it to purchase fully a better editor than buy a subscription for Capcut. I'm sad about the downfall of such a nice app, but I'm not surprised either. Only recommend if you're willing to hand over some cash for a subscription.

Beware when using for Tiktok. I signed up after seeing a 7-day free trial promo and was immediately charged $9.99. I never got a free trial and now I want a refund. I'm very upset by this. It is false advertising. Then, to use this app on my mobile device, they want to charge me another $10.99 a month for standard, not even Capcut Pro, but that wasn't disclosed when I signed up for 9.99. I'm just going to use Canva instead. They offer more and are much cheaper for the same quality.

Great for first time editing, has a lot of great features for YouTube and TikTok videos. However, it's major downfall is not allowing free users to download/export the final product to their device, so unless you're ready to upload straight to YT/TT, you will not be able to save the video file unless you pay, which is slightly ridiculous. Apps like YouCut save the edited video straight to your device, as an editing software should. For those less fortunate, I strongly recommend YouCut!

Yeah it's good till you find out that most of the free effects is a little useful while a lot of them are pretty much useless. And meanwhile a lot of the actual useful stuff that can be used for editing, you gotta pay just to use them.. Like theres no reason that noise reducing should actually cost money. I think you get the point. But I will say it's pretty pointless to make the app free if your going to make all the ACTUAL useful stuff premium and give us the scrap leftover mid effects

Had this before the update. Now that I need something to edit videos I wanted to use it again. Before you could export for free now you HAVE to have some sort of subscription to it unless I'm missing something. Kind of stupid. If it wasn't for that, I would have gave it more stars because I don't use a lot of the other editing things. Only use it to combine videos and layer others on top and save to device. Used it earlier this month and it wasn't like this. Don't like it now. Uninstalling.

This app is great, I wouldn't trade it for another. But I did 3/5 stars? Let's say I made a little edit I spent DAYS on. I finally finished, and I deleted the photos I used for the edit because I have no reason to keep them. When I go back to my edit, it says, "Video or photo is deleted or moved on your device. Recover it in your album." I absolutely hate this.If there's a way to fix it, PLEASE do. If you can't, then I might consider leaving. Either way, I love your app.
