Been using CaptionCall for a couple months now. It’s basically a captioned phone app that lets deaf and hard-of-hearing folks make calls with live captions. Pretty solid if you need that kind of thing.
Here’s what you do – you can make and receive calls, and it automatically transcribes both sides of the conversation in an easy-to-read format. There’s also a customizable caption display which is pretty cool. And you can use it anywhere with WiFi or mobile data, not just on a landline.

So here's my take on CaptionCall. I've tested a bunch of accessibility apps and this one's pretty solid. The live captions work well most of the time, and I like that you can use it anywhere, not just on a landline. And it's easy to set up and the interface is straightforward. But it's not flawless - the captions can get garbled occasionally, which is annoying. And it's a bit bare-bones compared to some other accessibility apps I've used. But for a free app, it's a pretty good option if you need captioned calling.
