I’ve been using Car Launcher for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that gives you a custom home screen for your Android device, made specifically for use in the car. You can add all your favorite apps for quick access and there’s even an onboard computer feature that tracks your mileage and stuff.
The main thing you do is customize the home screen with shortcuts to your most used apps. There’s also some handy car-focused features like the mileage tracker. Took me a bit to figure out how to set it up, but once I did it’s been pretty great.
Look, if you’re in your car a lot and want a more driver-friendly home screen, you’ll probably dig this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re looking for a car-centric launcher app.
