Reviews for Car Launcher Pro

After reading the reviews, I thought I'd give this a shot. Unfortunately, this app, even when paired with Bluetooth to my phone using Android Auto, has no way for you to actually use the phone to make a phone call. Extremely disappointing and makes it almost unusable. Next, I want to set the display to automatically adjust brightness, the minute I clicked automatically adjust, it went to black. This appears to be an unrecoverable bug, making the app 100% unusable. Extremely disappointing.

Loads of bugs. The minimap doesn't have options enough. Refreshes every half a second so is jumpy. You can't chose a hybrid mode, or chose what to show on nights and days separately. There is no option of resume Spotify resume playing when you get in the car. You can't hide the add buttons, so even if you want just two or three buttons you've to put useless ones to get rid of the annoying add one. Some of the widgets can't be spread apart, being difficult to read.

After few months of using free version of car launcher, I decided to buy pro version and it was the biggest mistake. It doesn't work propertly, often crashing, and the worst thing - steering wheel controls doesn't work after few minutes of using the app. After reset it works again for few minutes, maybe one hour and it stop again. Once more, free version of app also has some crashes but it was a way better then this pro version, it crashes everyday while I driving.

Nice app. still learning but t can be configured for your needs.

it would be nice if it could display the music list on your flash drive.

There's really no difference between the free version and the paid version. You get to adjust your screen a little bit but does not give you full access to design, it's very limited. Also when it comes to navigation it's very laggy and somethings don't work. They need to fix especially the maps that you can be able to use different maps. Google maps skips a lot. Plus when you're driving doesn't keep up with your location. The idea is right but it lacks some detail. Designing needs improvement!!!

Everytime i restart my Samsung s24+ this car app launches and then it launches Spotify and starts playing music. very annoying. It only started doing this since the last June 25 update. Please fix this before i have to permanently remove it. was a great app before this update.

The audio widgets do not sync at all... no support.. waste of money. stay away.

resource hog. can't change native gps widget. too much price for slow/no performance. Kiss launcher does what I need and is minimal

the trip counter is very random, it keeps resetting it self and at times the day trip starts from a negative distance value when you drive for some distance and then shut down your head unit

though paid for. there's not much one can do with it. and mail I sent to the team is keeping forever to be answered. Google map navigation is not seamless

Worked pretty good for years. Now it starts on its own and ignores settings. Can't seem to find a car launcher that works consistently.

Developer does not respond to emails. Having issues since last update. Keep getting error message that "car launcher needs GPS to display current speed and to record trip data. Would you go to System Settings and enable GPS now?" This happens every time Car Launcher starts. All permissions including location have been granted in settings. Also Car Launcher no longer auto starts the last app used. For example, if Pandora was the last app used when shut down, Car Launcher use to auto start Pandor

After my phone updated to OneUI7, the car launcher launched right after phone restart. It's set to launch only on connection to my car's Bluetooth. This is extremely irritating. My default phone launcher is set to OneUI7, so no idea why this is happening. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling, have cleared data/cache, all to no avail.

Have tried a couple others and this one works best. The look and feel is great and there are multiple other skins you can download (at extra cost). And the developer does reply on email, but main channel for issues is telegram. Overall am happy and recommend the app. Update 24 Aug 2025 Downgraded from 5 stars to 3 because i) pinned apps keeps disappearing and then one day out of the blue all the app I keep on re-pinning appear ii) saving the theme gives you only one option - Dropbox.

Spyware. It accesses location continuously and doesn't give the option to use without location data. All I want from this app is an alternative interface while driving and it will not start without location permissions granted. A recent update causes the app to start on its own even without automation settings configured to do so. The app causes far too many annoyances.

I'm using this app for several years now. It looks pretty good and can be designed the way you like it for your car. The app gets updated from time to time and that's when the problems start. Almost every update breaks something. F.e. one update lead to CL Pro not staying default launcher anymore and pressing the home button lead to loading the stock lauchner coming with the device. After the latest update music doesn't play automatically anymore. This all causes a lot of frustration. PITY!!!

Decent App, better than what's default on my aftermarket system. It is highly customizable to fit your wants and I would probably recommend. That being said there are a ton of bugs that come along with it. 1. Sometimes after connecting bluetooth to play music it just won't let you unless you have an internet connection. I've downloaded songs and since having this app they won't play. 2. The navigation integration is horrible. 3. The Screensaver is a cool feature but it glitches around.

Easy enough to set up once you figure it out... but not all android widgets (system widgets) work. There isn't an easy way to integrate navigation into the home screen and there's no way to get user apps to show notifications (like dots when you have a message, etc...) Would also be nice if you could integrate hands free mode behind the scenes. Overall a good app and worth the $5.99.

I've been using this for my Joying head unit in a Mitsubishi Lancer for a few months now, and I love it! I wouldn't use it for phone at all, but only for an Android head unit. There is a learning curve for customization, but think if I really sat down and messed with it a bit longer it would be everything I need. However, as of now I'm very happy with the simplistic look and easy to use interface(once it has been customized).
