Description

I’ve been using Carly — OBD2 car scanner for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you diagnose and monitor your car’s health through the OBD2 port. Pretty solid app if you’re into keeping your ride in tip-top shape.

Here’s what you can do: you can check engine codes, see live data from your car’s sensors, and even get maintenance and repair guides. And there’s also a community feature where you can chat with other Carly users, which is pretty cool. And the app will tell you if there are any recalls or service campaigns for your specific car model – took me a while to figure that out but it’s really useful.

Look, if you’re the type of person who likes to tinker with their car and keep it running well, you’ll probably like Carly. It’s not perfect – sometimes the interface can be a bit clunky – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want more insight into what’s going on under the hood.

Editor Opinion

So here's my honest take on Carly — OBD2 car scanner. I've tested a bunch of car diagnostic apps and this one's pretty solid. The best thing is how comprehensive it is - you can do everything from check engine codes to get maintenance tips. In my experience, the live data readings are super helpful for understanding what's going on with your car. The community feature is also a nice touch, although I don't use it much myself. The only downside is the interface can be a bit clunky at times, but it's not a dealbreaker. Overall, I'd say Carly is one of the better OBD2 apps out there.

The app used to be one of the best options out there... Not perfect but worth spending money on. Now you pay decent money and STILL get begged for even...

Great tool. Not exactly intuitive though, and there's a few pay-walls to get additional features - especially for BMW/MINI. Considering that it is cheaper than paying a BMW mechanic to...

Generally works OK. Yes, need to buy the adapter and the full version, but that compares favorably to one shop visit. Support is really poor -- consists of automated responses...
