It's everything the advertising suggests. If you're like me and been out of the gym for a while or wandered around the gym lost without a routine this is the app for you. It gives you direction, details of what you'll be doing and why as well as a nice meal guide (though I find myself straying from it quite often.) I did the 7 day trial and found it so helpful I decided to commit for the year and I haven't missed a workout yet. Try it, you won't regret it.
Reviews for Centr: Personal Fitness App
← Back to Centr: Personal Fitness AppGreat daily workout plan. I am not able to use the diet plan as much as I would like, but when I have the food has been fantastic. It's great being able to just often the app and follow the routines it has. Love everything from the weights to the yoga. The only downside is not being able to save workouts in the event you don't have service (which I do with work frequently). Highly recommend this app!
Have been using the app for 8 months now. Did the 1 year subscription. At first it had bugs but they worked them out. Easy to use and they keep making it better. They add new workouts and recipes to keep it fun. I took a few workout breaks as life got busy but could not give up the food. Doesn't feel like a diet. I just know how to cook now... If you stick to it getting into shape is inevitable. Highly recommend!
This app had really kick-started my fitness journey. I've been struggling for a while with eating and exercising. I started this during a free trial and liked enough that I opted to keep the subscription. They have guided and self-guided workouts with everything from no equipment to heavy equipment. They have some great recipes to enjoy. I've only been using the app for a few weeks but am already seeing and feeling results. I'm starting to look forward to exercising in the morning with this app.
You don't have to be Hemsworth for these exercises. They vary from absolute beginner to will hurt you with or without weights. Huge variety of exercises and recipes. They'll choose your foods for you and give you a shopping list if you want. The price is steep monthly buy quickly gets cheaper with a longer subscription. I've tried other apps but this one is the best, hands down.
I'm very optimistic from what I've seen so far. I love that meditation is part of the regimen. There are a few features, however, that I've found to be very helpful but I've not found them in a single app. Please consider: 1. Integration with Google Fit/other fitness trackers. 2. Weight training trackers/log (what exercises, how much weight, how many reps etc) 3. Ability to sort/edit meals that include certain foods (eg diabetic menu, allergies, or just plain don't like certain ingredients?)
So far so good. I love the ease of use of the app. it's great for keeping up with your training days and has some great exercises. I have fully gotten into to see how much it can assist in personal details other than it being connected to GoogleFit. Love the videos. Gives a bit more motivation than just having a written plan. I do wish the programs would just progress through automatically in the self guided instances but I get it. Still trying it out though for now.
Not a terrible app, but has its flaws. A lot if videos on the app don't load fast enough to really keep watching one after one and it sucks to work out and have to wait for the video to load. Has good recipes and good workouts, including modifications for if you don't have all the equipment. Wish the workouts had some more variety though. Aside from those issues its $40 for a month! Which i only got because I had accidentally forgot to cancel my free trial.
I would love it if there was an option for a gift card or something, because I've loved the app so much and want to be able to share it with my family. Honestly though, it has excellent workouts, amazing recipes, and great tips to get your day headed in the right direction. I started with the trial membership and ended up getting the full year subscription because it's been so great! I had gotten up to 285lbs, and within about two months I had dropped down to 240lbs. So I think it works!
Doesn't work half the time. You can't open most of the workouts and it randomly signs me out when I try to access the app. Clearing cache and uninstalling it doesn't work. It sometimes takes days before it'll work again. I've emailed support numerous times and was told they are aware of the issue and a fix will be out eventually. What BS is that?! For the cost of this app, I should be able to expect that it works every time. Even when it does work, it's good but not great.
The workouts are pretty good. A few minor complaints: 1. You can't log your weights/ reps during a rest period, which feels weird because the timer keeps going on that exercise while I log weights. Please make it so I can log the previous exercise/ set during the rest period. 2. I can't type in my weights. I have to scroll forever on my teeny screen for a while to select the right number. 3. The self-guided workouts don't talk to you. There's a separate tutorial page that does. Why not combine?
The program and workouts are great. The main issue is that the app is borderline unusable. I have a Galaxy Ultra and it kicks me out to log in almost every time I select a workout. Some mornings I can't even use it all together (about half). Don't buy it until this is fixed. Customer service's response was "Use our free YouTube channel". Edit: It's been fixed but still not great customer service.
I've been using Centr for years now, and I love it. Great programs, easy tracking, great instructors. I did knock off one star because there are programs here and there that have incorrect video, making it hard to do, and I don't know how to report an issue. Overall very happy with it, though, especially since they added strength programs for middle-aged women.
Programs and the workouts that are built out in this app are great. I would give it five stars but I think they could do better in customer service. When I called after my app was giving me a message that they were doing updates and it would be available for 2 hours but I didn't have access to it for 2 days. The gentleman on the phone told me that I had to email that customer service and that I needed to be prepared to provide money. I was a new subscriber. App needed updating, that's it!
Buyer beware. I paid for a full year subscription and canceled before the next billing cycle. I still received a charge for another year and despite my best efforts, I cannot get a response from anyone to help. The way they describe the cancelation procedure simply doesn't work. Going to "settings" on their web page only gives me an option to "log out everywhere" for security reasons. The application isn't bad, but I don't see it as worth the money. Also, hopefully you never want to cancel.
my favorite program on the app is Steph Rose's Unbreakable. it was the main reason why I signed up and I enjoyed going through the program immensely. But now I also like the fact that I have access to multiple coaches workouts and other programs so that I can always find a great workout to fit into my schedule regardless of how much time I have or the type of workout that I am craving. The recent app update fixed some of the glitches and now it's better than ever.
I love the Centr app! Whether you are looking for workouts, healthy recipes, meal plans, meditations, or sleep visualizations, Centr has it all! With a variety of instructors and workout styles, Centr has something for everyone, from beginners to experts. There are filters, so you can quickly find whatever you want. I highly recommend this app.
I have been a customer since inception and it has been transformative! There is a program for everyone at any level. This program has changed my life. The trainers, time limits, and the music keep me motivated during the workouts. Lastly, keep adding new programs. They do not go unnoticed! Well done, Centr 6! Bravo!
The app works quite well, I have enjoyed being able to click on the workout image and seeing how the particular exercise is supposed to be done. I would like to see more capabilities in the log file and have an easier way to print out or have available for a future repeat session after finishing the 9 week program. The app is easy to use and conevenient. I also like being able to bounce between using the app and/or going to the web.
It has potential, but expectations fell short. I found the app hard to maneuver. While the coached sessions were good, they leaned too much toward HIIT, etc. Didn't find much if any straight coached home-based weight training. I found the guided workouts kept me having to go back to my phone after each set. Need more "set it and forget it" workouts.
