It took 49 minutes on hold before I could talk to help, but when she was available, she gave me the phone number for the charger unit and I called them. THEY told me the unit had recently transferred to another app not serviced yet by smart hub. He gave me that number and they helped me. I did get my car charged and look forward to trying out ChargeHub another day.
Reviews for Chargehub EV & Tesla Charging
← Back to Chargehub EV & Tesla Chargingapp is great because it is fast compared to charge hub.
I noticed some charging stations are missing that were there previously.
The app is helpful. There are some flaws that make using/contributing to the network tough. For example, I cannot upload photos to my station comments because the photo preview lacks buttons to confirm/attach the photo. I'd also appreciate the map mode defaulting to my location rather than centering the whole earth... There are also some critical failures, such as ChargePoint's own inactive stations showing up as active, leading to stressful searches for working stations. I have high hopes.
This station charges very slowly, and communication with the customer service is poor. The app doesnt show the amount used to charge the vehicle
provides the largest accurate map of stations in North America. used it extensively in Canada and U.S.A. perfect for pre-planning trips using stations that provided facilities for long trips . billing was fast and accurate.
Great place to charge and take a break and shop!
great app easy to use, compatible with many charging stations.
Good overview, but 'public' does not necessarily mean accessible. The information in the app gives you an indication of where to find options but especially in cities you might not be able to access the charging stations unless you are a resident. You also might find yourself scrambling to find the charging stations. Only to discover they are not working or not free. Charging at malls is generally well indicated though. The app also freezes frequently (tested on Android 11, Google Pixel 3).
Fist time I had my phone crash. Typing to type the address. I was only able to enter one number. After that the keyboard reverted to the alphabetical keys. I had to long press a key to get the number. Also I had to wait several seconds after each letter because it would not input the key. It was like a very long lag. After some time my Galaxy S24 Ultra crashed for the first time.
A great app for finding charging stations and activating stations on select networks. Allowed me to reduce the number of EVcharging apps that I keep on my phone. Makes it easy to post comments and pictures regarding individual stations. You do have to very specific when entering locations in the maps search tool, which can slow you down when trying to find a place on the map. But all in all a great app.
It bugs often. sometimes it doesn't let us start charging (button unavailable), while other apps are just fine. Also this app requires to add balance instead of pay per use. It doesn't do a good job with live update on charge either.
just stopped working. can't type address or more than one letter and it freezes .
Has so so many stations that are non-operational or non-existent. I went through 4 broken, non-existent stations and am now stuck in 100° weather in Death Valley because I trusted this stupid app. I've been specifically trying to be careful of this by looking for chargers around when i will be at 50%. I was at over 150 miles when I got to the first broken charger.
Update 5/14/25: Yes but there are some fast chargers that show up for Rivian, and they are for Rivian owners only. Being able to toggle off "Rivan Adventure Club" or "Tesla non magic dock" Thats the main toggle that would be helpful. Thanks for responding! ------------------ I mean it's cool to "try" to have just one app for finding chargers. However it's very dumb that you can't search for just public chargers. Everything comes up even chargers at hotels for guests only. Please add in a toggle!
I have been using this for a few years and overall I like the app. However I added my home station to the map and now I see errors and there is no way to edit it due to bugs in the app. I have tried the chat in the app but they keep telling me the steps to edit and I know them. The issue is the app has bugs. I have this installed on my android phone and if I follow the steps to edit my home station it just keeps adding a new stations. Odd you cannot see the stations you are adding in the android app. So getting no help I decided to install the app on my wifes iphone and logged in. Now when I go to edit my home stations I see many home statons all the ones I added in the android app. So I go ahead and delete all the unneeded stations as they never show up in the map anyways. So every time I click on the pencil to edit my home station the app crashes. Obviously I can never edit it since it crashes. I also cannot delete the home station since that causes the app to crash. So I am stuck no matter I use the android or iphone app. Maybe something is just corrupt in my home station. I have no idea but I need help. Using the in app chat I wrote back with these details but never got a reply. So I see that reviews get a reply so I was hoping that if I posted a 1 star review maybe someone will help me.
So far so good! we're in Nova Scotia with a Tesla and feeling a bit pensive about the lack of Tesla charging station, between this app and plug share, this app has been slightly better for the south shore! thanks!
very useful. it really helps to have just one wallet for so many charging networks instead opening one for each. prevents leaving money on the table
The app didn't work for US. dollars was required to add Canadian dollars. Then app didn't work to unlock charger.
The limits of this app basically reflect the limits of the charging infrastructure. But of the handful of charging network apps out there, this one seems to do the best job of showing where charge stations are, regardless of those stations' affiliations. The app is also straight-forward. I take off one star for lack of clarity on some places that are private, not open to public use but not tagged as such, and for some that are no longer working but are still listed as active.
