Reviews for Chaty - Chat & Make Friends

The app itself is nice. It is also very expensive when you have 30+ chats in the first hour at 6 coins per message. A lot of the people chatting didn't seem real. I have never seen an app with so many women. Besides that I find it hard looking for friends on here. Be warned and good luck.

App is great in the sense of chatting but it doesn't tell you that you have to pay to continue chatting until you go to buy more coins and that each message is 6 coins a pop. With that in mind i am rather disappointed with this app and i cant even tell others another way to contact me cause everything regarding another way to get in touch with people is blocked and if you run out of coins you cant even send a message even though they state that the first message is free

The app is almost fool proof to use. Chatting is easy. Upload a photo & watch the inbox grow. The biggest issue is that it is a money burner if you are having a great chat with someone (or more than 1 chat). I understand the reason & *strongly* encourage to write long messages with multiple questions. I just wish they use fewer coins per text (like 4 instead of 6 coins). I would also suggest another payment between the $10 & $50 or a weekly (or monthly) subscription service.

Great app for making new friends and just chatting with people from pretty much anywhere. Of course, there is the occasional inappropriate message, but you can report it, and the message goes away immediately, and that account is ultimately banned. Would definitely recommend checking out!

I absolutely adore this app. I've been on so many dating sites where I've met people that aren't really interested in a real conversation or relationship. With this app we have to use coins to send each other messages which shows me that at least they aren't wasting my time and actually want to get to know me. I love that if I have an issue with someone I can easily get a hold of chat support and they remedy my concerns right away. I've been using this app for a while and have met my mate.

Best app ever when it comes to chatting l believe if you want quality interaction with people you have to be able to explore options, and I love chatty because you're not limited to your zip code you have the ability to talk to people in other countries it's so cool try it out

complete scam and they're not even trying to hide it! as soon as I downloaded it I opened it up, you don't even have to create a profile. it's straight up right to matches. most of them have coin symbols by their bubble that says anywhere from 50 to 150 coin cost. it gives you 24 coins free, but every profile cost more than 24 coins to message. each message costs 8 coins, and video chat 20 to refill 50 coins is $5.99, 110 coins is $12.99 and their biggest package 550 coins cost $59.99.

It actually does pay out. The problem with this app is that it ruins your battery very quickly. I have a galaxy s20. It's a really good phone, but after using the app for only 10mins, my phone gets hot. Within an hour of usage, the phone feels like it's on fire. It eats about 60% of the batteries charge in that time. Not good. If that issue gets fixed, I'd rate this 4 or 5 stars.

This was a disaster. Making your profile is the easy part, everything else is awful. it's a simple look but you're only awarded 24 coins on start up and each message you send costs coins. Jokes on you cause as soon as you make a profile and even editing it, you're flooded with profiles; some real, some fake. and once you run out of coins, you can't talk to anybody but you'll still get messages so you feel left out and bad about it until you cave and pay up. extremely scummy

Absolute con of an app. So expensive to use and the excuse of keeping it add free is rubbish. Stick adds in I'm not bothered. It is also full of bots and fake accounts to tempt you to spend more money. They restrict what you can send in a message to make sure you have to communicate on the app. This app needs investing quick because it's an absolute con do not download.

I was on here for not even a week and it had £45 off me. It is full of fakes. there's no option of filters to only show people within a radius / milage of you. They all said they wanted to meet up but just kept you chatting on here to spend more money. You get charged £8.99 for 100 coins and each message sent costs 6 coins. Talking to multiple people for 5 minutes and you have to purchase more. It's an absolute disgrace and a complete rip off. My advice is stay well clear

Honestly... it seems pretty cool... but I'm wondering if $59 gets you much? I mean... is there just a way to pay by month rather than paying for points? I was just wondering how much something like this would end up costing... I mean, if $59 only gets you like a month? I don't think that's worth it... if it lasts 6 months? Maybe... but barely. Plus... many of the "women" that bombard your messages... are clearly bots. If I wanted that... I'd just pay for AI.

A money making app for sure! When signing up you only get 1 free message, then you have to pay to send more to people. It's also too simple, you can't add a bio, or more than 3 pictures. You can't add your hobbies etc. You also can't tell who's fake and who's real. Would be good if it had all this stuff. And if it had some kind of way to earn more coins even if it's watching adverts. The amount you have to pay is crazy. Unfortunately I will be deleting this.

My reason for giving it 2 stars is for the following reason. The app itself is good, but it can get expensive very, very quickly in order to keep messaging people costing 6 coins per message and 20 coins per minute for video call. If there was a lifetime option instead of having to keep buying coins, then I would have given it 5 stars. I was contemplating on giving it 3 stars, instead of 2. But looking at how much I've spent so far in order to keep messaging is my reason for how low the score is

It's hard to find an app as fun and engaging as this. I've had the greatest conversations with brand new people who seem to truly value the interaction. Honestly, the fact that it's paid enhances the experience and engagement. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who doesn't want to waste energy talking with boring guys who don't know how to have a conversation and this app gives them genuine motivation to try lol I'm so glad I found Chaty ❤️

Sadly this app is just a money burner. You get 18 coins and your first message is free. Every message after is 6 coins (meaning only 3 after the initial message unless you pay). However, the first message is not always free for some reason and it's a little ridiculous to pay. Paying per text message is something we did in the 90's. I wish it was either a subscription or I had ads instead. It cost $5 for less than 10 messages... Also half the accounts get banned within 30 min of meeting you.

Honestly, the app is good for chatting. But ultimately is a waste of time. Purchases flagged as fraud, having you call your back to unlock it. Once unlocked you make another purchase and there is an error and ask you to add another card. Once done, it goes through and then you go through the same process. Support says it Google Play Store, so I removed all my cards and added one. Verified via Google charge and still same issue.

Developer will most likely copy/paste the exact same response to this review as all others but here we go anyway... They'll say that they charge a "small fee" per message. 10¢ a message is not small, that's what my old prepaid cell phone plan was. There are so many free chat apps out there that don't have this ridiculous model. Uninstalling. Shame that I had started an actual conversation with someone but ran out of coins after 4 messages.

Pay to chat. Using this app gets very expensive very quickly because you have to pay to chat. I "seemed" to hit it off with some girls, but they never wanted to meet irl, always saying they wanted to keep chatting and wait for the right time. IMO, nobody here is real. This app is designed to get you to keep chatting as long as possible.

Pay per message? The pricing model is ridiculous. No one can afford to keep paying for every single message. The developers are literally pricing their customers out of using their app any more than a few messages. Not to mention the fact that there's no way to match with people in your local area. Several states away isn't that interesting for most people.
