Description
Been using Chef Pro – Recipe Costs for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you calculate the exact costs of your recipes and keep tabs on your food costs. Pretty solid if you’re in the restaurant or catering business.
Here’s what you can do: you can create costing cards for all your recipes, add ingredients and their prices, and the app will crunch the numbers for you. And there’s also a feature to monitor price changes, which is pretty handy. And you can add recipes as ingredients in other recipes – takes a bit to set up but it’s useful.
Look, if you’re in the foodservice industry and you need to stay on top of your costs, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want more control over your food costs.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on Chef Pro - Recipe Costs. I've tried a bunch of recipe costing apps and this one's pretty solid. The core functionality works really well - it makes calculating recipe costs a breeze. And the price tracking is a nice bonus feature. The interface could use some polish, but it gets the job done. Definitely a useful tool if you run a restaurant, cafe, or catering business and need to keep a close eye on your margins.
