I only downloaded the app for station locations and bill pay. I've only had it for 3 days and it was working just fine for what I wanted it for, however today it just stopped sending the text code for auto login. Tried several times but no code was ever sent, even though it says it was when I click on resend code. After 3-4 times, it tells me that I have tried too many times and to try again later. Still, will not send text code ... It has just stopped.

I'm a long time loyal Chevron customer ... it's too bad it isn't the same quality reflected on the technology of this app. In response to your reply: It doesn't surprise me you can't find it... #2 because they hung up on me... 1 star #3 now there's a bank account discrepancy.
I gave Chevron 2 stars because it is so far out of the game with other gas station. Who creates an app for just fuel purchases with the option to redeem points for rewards you can't even use in any store only a select few? If the gas station doesn't support or have the "Pay Inside" feature then you're basically up s*** creek. Make sure to bring an alternative form of payment. What a waste of gas just to get more gas but no snacks. I'm hungry that's why I stopped!
When you activate the discount, it deducts 10 points for every cent you save. It then adds back 5 points per gallon purchased. Unless you have an extremely large fuel tank, it is impossible to ever get above a 10 cents per gallon discount. This is very deceptive. As to the response below, I actually reached out to them before writing this review, and never received any feedback from them. If only I could give them 0 stars instead of 1. Response was that you would be in touch, didn't happen. Poor
Update... After weeks of back and forth to resolve the issue, the app only worked for 2 months. I built my points back up only to have my account flagged for fraud again. I'm not sure how filling up 1-2 times per week is fraudulent. I also do not have my bank account linked to the app. Don't waste your time. Very frustrating! After hitting multiple Chevrons on a road trip to build points, they locked my account. I've called twice to resolve the issue to no avail. Horrible customer service!
love the savings and service Update: I guess I should have waited to write a review. No one in the store knows how to use the app. I'm continually overfilling my tank when I ask for a requested amount, and I get overcharged. With this app it's confusing. The manager doesn't even know how it works and all my points are dropping. Today I had 232 points, then I got gas which should have given me more points, now I only have 164. So disappointed. Not what it seemed.
This app can be absolutely hot garbage. My checking pay never works, and when I called Chase about it, they said everything is fine on my end. Chevron doesn't give you the option to resubmit your checking account information. When I deleted my checking pay option and went to redo it, all of my previous checking account information pops up. There are other issues, but I won't be able to fit it within the 500 letter limit of this review. This app needs a MAJOR revamping.
At first, I gave it 5 stars. Someone had got my info and was using my points to get cheaper gas. I think they were paying cash because there was no payment info. Anyway, the one star is not because this happened to me, but in fact, because their customer service is horrible!! The only option to get help is through the automated chat but offer no resolutions. Only links to how to maneuver the app. Very disappointed in their apparent non existing cust- serv. I'd say more but I'm out of characters.
As others have experienced, I got charged the credit price ($0.10/gal more) instead of the cash price when using a Chevron credit card. I didn't notice it right away so this app has actually ended up costing me. Why not fix it on your end instead of having each user call customer service? Seems like a waste of resources and time for everyone. It was easy to use but I'll wait until it's fixed before reinstalling.
If only ANY stations participated in the rewards... I have earned tons of points from the monthly giveaway, but they mean nothing since none of the stations actually participate. I can't find a reliable tool to find a station, either. I check the website, and it seems to say one will, I go there only to find they don't. Frustrating. Makes me want to use other gas stations that do have usable rewards programs.
Don't waste your time. If you are loading this, hoping to use it to save money, it does not happen. I am surveying fuel brands for best mileage, and using all major brands. Instant savings so far from Shell and BP/Amoco. I use the app, the discount shows up immediately. I tried this app at 3 stations, all show up on the app as participants, paid full price, each time.
The app is easy to use and you can easily use the coupons and discounts on gas using the app. However, be aware that there will be a 150$ hold on any acount you use to purchase gas. I was not made aware of this until after I bought gas only to find that my account had been charged 150$. So, nice to save .25 cents a gallon, just be sure you have extra money you won't need to use for a few days.
The instructions in the app to save $1/gallon are extremely vague. Do not activate offer until you are at the station. Even then, the app does not recognize you are at a station. I had to get help from the attendant to use the stupid thing. However, I did save $1/gallon, so I'm pretty happy with that. It was a very aggravating experience, but worth the extra effort with gas prices these days. Thx, Mr. "president"!
I'll change my review if there is an update that fixes the issue. I created my account in the app. Several days later it logged me out and I'm trying to log back in. It says to sign up or login, but every time it prompts me to create a new account, but says I already have an account. There is no option to sign in. Takes me to new registration every time. Can't do anything.
Terrible app, worse customer service, inconsistent rewards (if any). Do yourself a favor and don't even start. In the beginning, I registered with my google voice number, which they then stopped "supporting" for some reason. But it gets better, they cannot remove that phone number from the existing account (which I cannot access). This means I had to sign up through a business phone just to (try and) get rewards. Now, the app fails payment many times and about 30% of the time works:/ Awful!!!
awesome! I filled up my car for $25 for the first time in YEARS thanks to the dollar off per discount! Yes, you only get your first 3 fill ups, but everything helps these days, do I'm really very grateful for that! even after I used the first 3 fill up discounts, I still just filled up my car and saved 25 cents per gallon which still was very helpful. the app is easy to use as well. I did have issues using the checking payment option, it wouldn't work for some reason but it worked today.
Frustrating rewards system. The app seems ok. Not all chevron stations participate in rewards. Even when you choose to drive to one that says it does rewards on app, you can get to the station & it'll tell you the rewards system isn't active. Purchases at stations that don't participate don't count towards anything. So if you have a "fuel up 3 times to get x" type of promotion, it won't count if you're at the wrong station. You have to plan well AND do trial & error. It's underwhelming.
I cannot sign in to the app with my number from my phone as it says, "You've already created an account with this device." Inputting your number, as it says, either creates, or signs you into your account. Regardless, I don't even understand how it signed me out in the first place. There's no option to report issues so I'm making this review instead. I've been using the app on the exact same phone for about a year and a half and now it's suddenly unusable.
would be nice to get the discount at the pump instead of waiting until the statement comes out. Updated to 1 start after calling the number they said to call. The whole process of using this app is a pain in the butt! It's way easier using the card and getting your discount credited right at the pump then. Calling the number resulted in more frustration and the credit could be in the form of a gift card instead of a credit card credit! That's just nonsense. I cannot recommend this app.
Using this app is a convenience. However, as a cost saver it is not as great as Chevron would have you believe. Many of their stations add the convenience fee to use a card at the pump. When using the app at these stations, the charge defaults to the per gallon cost plus the card convenience fee, even if you pay from a bank checking account via PayPal. At some stations, not only do you pay the card convenience fee, but they do not allow the use of Rewards to lower the per gallon cost.
