Have had this app for a while, but now requires 2 factor identification that you cannot opt out of & would only allow text verification. Texts were delayed a long time (over 10 minutes) between when the verification code was requested and the code was finally received. Did not allow an option to verify identity via email or biometrics. Was able to immediately update the password via the "forgot password link" because it was sent to email while waiting and waiting for the text to come through.

I picked up an order at 6:50 today and I got less than a spoonful of chicken. and they were out of Pico. I also got a side of guac instead of the large that I ordered... there should be better communication available when ordering the on the app.
The Chipotle app is not concerned about resolving issues. it is concentrated on the bots ability to end a conversation. It does not direct you to a rep. they are only concerned about the bots ability to end a conversation. If your issue can only be resolved with multiple choice and the end result being "Thank you for your feedback, your conversation is ended," then you must have no issue. my order was wrong, 40% of the portion I've received on the past, and stale chips. not good on any front.
Why in the world would you not allow the remaining amount of a gift card to be used and then use another gift card to be added to help pay for it? Bad ux. at the very least, you could use another form of payment but when trying with Google pay, it errors and says wrong total, and it adjusts the total, it doesn't and repeats the error. it never resolves. Fire that department. Pretty basic in a lot of these apps to order food but I guess you didn't take the time to research.
terrible. this app has been a problem for a long time now. first it wouldn't let me place orders because it always had problems processing payments. it said it couldn't process a payment right now. this went on for months. I decided to uninstall the app and try it from scratch and now it doesnt recognize my password. I tried "forgot password" but the email reset link they send just takes me back to sign in instead of resetting my password. cant talk to a live agent either, the wait is atrocious
The Chipotle app is incapable of using part of a gift card and finishing the order with Google Pay. I've tried repeatedly on separate orders across a few days, and each time I try to split it, I get a "Your total has been updated" message, but in fact, the total is the exact same. Clearly they can't use the gift card and charge my credit card through GPay for the rest. This is extremely annoying because I have a gift card I want to use for PART of my total, but I CAN NOT AT ALL with the app!
The application is fundamentally flawed and utterly ineffective. It is baffling that it continues to operate when it cannot process payments. Initially, I presumed the issue was on my end, which is why I attempted transactions using three different credit cards and confirmed that my bank accounts were in excellent standing. DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THE APP! Today was the second time I had an item of mine not delivered and when I tried to talk to support about it the experience was absolutely awful. you can only chat with a bot who has limited options for resolving problems, none of them being a refund for the missing item. Instead you are offered rewards for items of a lower dollar value. I am upset I cant get my money back nor can I get the actual item I purchased with the reward offered.
Cross your fingers it works. For the last 2 months, I could not reset my password after the app randomly signed me out. I uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times. There's no help desk, just a useless Ai chat bot. Finally I was able to get signed back in on a desktop. I had saved my receipts and entered them in, but I was never credited the points. This app sucks
It's pretty easy to order. If something isn't right with input the app doesn't really point out issue to make it easy to fix. The app doesn't tell you or direct you to choose where delivery is coming from. I order from home or work and that comes from different locations. Not sure how or when the app decides where to place order from. Don't like that I can't use offer and my points to redeem for an item.
I had an order all ready to go and then 5 minutes later it asked me to sign in and my order is gone. also the free entrees take the money off the cheapest entree instead of the most expensive. why would they think people want to save less money than more money? ridiculous. decided to get pizza instead. and on top of all of that you still can only use one gift card at a time. after years they still haven't addressed that problem.
My order was great as it usually is but I have one request, could you please make the ordering LOCATION larger or somehow more prominent? We live between 2 locations that are both on "main st.". This is the second time I have accidentally ordered from the wrong location and had to drive 7 miles to pickup my order. Because the location is small at the top of the app it does not show the city, just the address number and street name. Because of this makes it possible to order from the wrong store.
I don't like that the app forces you to allow them to track your location at all times even when the app is not in use. If your order gets messed up (which I've experienced at several locations in several different cities, it almost ALWAYS does) you will not be able to contact anyone unless you go through a link in your email (if you have access) or go onsite yourself, in person. You cannot speak to a human over the phone. Other than that, I enjoy the options offered in the app.
Navigation and experience is very poor compared to other restaurants. Needs to prompt you for a location at the start of the order and not just leave it at the last place you used. Also should use GPS to verify it's the location closest to you. After adding an item to your cart it takes you back to the home screen to start over. Just put me back to the menu. Takes so much extra time to order compared to any other restaurants.
The location does not work!! It doesn't matter if I update the store location manually and then place an order, 3 times now I have been falsely assured of location and order placed....then receive a notification "seems like you are farther away than expected". Unable to cancel the order, charged for it, and then have to fight through the "AI Pepper assistant" that is absolutely no help at all! Then forced to jump through hoops for a refund of an order I never received!!
customer service is awful! I put my order to the wrong location and decided that I'd rather just walk in store and order the food myself, and when searching for a refund button, there wasn't one! so I talked to customer support and they refused to give me a refund, only change locations of the food. which I now no longer want. I won't be eating at Chipotle ever again just because of this. fix your refund service or lose your customers!
Because I added a limited time add-on to my previous orders (chipotle ranch dressing), the app won't let me reorder anything at all from the reorder menu, regardless of how many other items I ordered. If you're going to offer things for a limited time, don't make me have to re-enter everything when that one thing is no longer available. I'll go to your competition instead.
The latest update apparently broke the ability to scan for points when I check out at the register. Now I'm only given the option to redeem for an entree and not the option to scan and collect points only. I'm a long time rewards member (national top 0.1%) and I only redeem anything for special occasions or when money is tight, and this has been very useful to me throughout the years. Please fix this issue so that I can continue collecting my reward points.
At the end of submitting a delivery order, I tried to select a Tip for the driver. When I would go to complete the order, I got an error: "Your order total was incorrect." I tried several times, backed out and resubmitted, and kept getting the same error. Eventually I tried raising the Tip to a higher amount and the order went through no problem. This may be a bug but it comes across as manipulative.
Very rarely does using the app save time or avoid long lines and waiting times for food. The vast majority of my experiences using the app have resulted in a great waste of time. The usual experience: arriving at or after the expected pick up time then watching multiple people enter, stand in line, order, pay, and leave before my order is ready. More than once I have had an extended wait just to ask about my order...only to discover it hasn't even been started.
