Fantastic app that picks up chords really well! Great for use with any music since you can use the microphone, though I wish Spotify still worked. Worth purchasing Pro just to support the devs! Wish there was a way to color code or see the notes in each chord instead of the fingerings. Also think it would be nice to see the chords transposed to the relative major key (e.g. like seeing the tonic "i" as "vi" for the sixth scale degree). Not sure if these are things that would be possible to add
Reviews for Chord ai – learn any song
It's truly amazing. Does not matter what you throw at it. Structured songs are a breeze, bur being a 50 yr. Deadhead, I tried to give 'er hell with some very intense jams like a 15min Playing in the Band, an 18 minute The Other One and a beautiful 22 minute Dark Star. Wow, is this baby accurate. You will not be disappointed. Don't even hesitate.
Very Good but crashes after 20 minutes or so on the free version and the paid version. Kinda annoying if you ask me. Paid $15 for the "pro" version and it crashed halfway through the first song. Really annoying to have to go back through and reset the loop. I like that I can export the chords for each song as a PDF or send the chart to the printer. Expensive, but it does what it says.
Chord AI has all of the sudden started having problems with me uploading songs longer than 5 and a half minutes, it still does it but warns that the attempt may be unstable. This literally just started last night. (10-9-22) And is there any way to make the app accessible on a laptop from your website? I say all this only because this app is, to me, better than Songmaster or RiffStation....
A very well done implementation of AI in music. Easy to simply search YouTube, click the video you want to play, and in seconds you've got all the chords and can play along, capo and raise the pitch w new chords, etc. While it isn't an app for learning guitar, necessarily, it seems to essentially replace sheet music. One time price is great..., but it makes me a tiny bit nervous they might not maintain it longer term. In any case, an awesome app!!
It tends to have a lot of trouble recognizing songs that aren't just one instrument. And the piano chord suggestion are useless because it doesn't really try to pick variations of the chords that would make sense going from one to another, and as I said before it will just throw in random chords that arent in the song. All things said its a good effort, and I look forward to see where this goes. But when you buy the app think of it as an investment instead of somthing your getting right away.
It is one of my best friends in order to play my ukulele new songs, however is very in unstable app since the update of July 4th, it crushes very often, sometimes if I save a song, it plays something different. Also, it tends to show blank notes in the midle of a song, very frustrating. Jus today, oh it's not able to play a single song, it keeps crashing….Now the song are not accessible. Please fix it, I love this app.
Seriously love this app for working out compositions. Anytime I hear a song or soundtrack in the background that I really like the structure of, from podcasts, YouTube, movies, whatever, I just open this app, turn on the mic and this thing transcribes the progression accurately. I have been playing guitar for 30 years and would have no problem working it out if I had a guitar with me but this thing breaks it down accurately, anywhere. I was about to ask for tempo but it's actually there!!
This would be the perfect app, if it didn't crash or freeze or take default over pdf files. I imported songs, found songs and the display of chord box's were excellent. Saved songs and for a while I was thrilled with it. Told many of my musician friends about it. Then suddenly it would just shut down in the middle of a song or the graphic displays would begin flashing on and off so fast it hurt to look at. Yes I paid for the pro version. Too bad. Had to uninstall
Great app for song learning. The free version is very accurate. I did try the paid version but found it didn't warrant the price as chordings were similar in each from my experience. It would be nice to learn lead and solo guitar on this app by using a tab feature showing notes on the fretboard. For me, the loop and listen is decent. Must slow down quite a bit to learn intricate leads and loop over and over. For chords, it's outstanding. Thanks for an easy to use tool for learning songs.
