Reviews for Citi Mobile®

The customer service woman, Camille, was wonderful and helped me greatly. The app is rather difficult and if I had to prove my identity once more, I was going to scream! Changing my password was difficult as well, because you cannot see what you have entered. I am a poor typist, so it takes forever to match the 2 passwords. Then it locks me out for too many tries!

Really love Citi and their offers... My only gripe is that I had a Costco-Citi card last year that had a balance on it, so I hadn't used it in a few months. I was paying it down and all my payments were made on time... But out of nowhere, I opened my account and it had been closed. All I could do was continue to make payments on it. The only reason I can think it got cut was because I hadn't used it in about 6 months. Other than that, 👍

This is a great app to manage a credit card. Cards a listed separately if you have more than one card. Payments are easy to make thru the app and if a bank is linked the payment takes affect immediately. Replacement and lost cards are easy to manage. This app also links American Airlines and trips can be reserved and points redeemed. Overall, I find this to be the best app I have used to manage a credit card.

I wanted to rate 5 stars but couldn't. My only negative about the app is that you don't include a merchant name in the transactions. 90% of the time, I have to research to figure out who I paid the given amount. Very frustrating. If you could include the merchant name in the transaction description, the app would be perfect.

I could not print the page of current payments. l was hoping to see a statement that was identical to the monthly statement that is mailed each month. It was my first time using the app. and I was exploring it's features. I wasted a lot of time trying to find out how to print the page of current deposits. I did find other useful things.

Avoid if you use biometrics. This app disables biometric login several times a month, then you have to log in with your password, re-enable it, which then sends you an email letting you know that it was enabled. I did this yesterday, and now today again I had to do it all over again. I've never had this problem with any other app. For an app that I use almost daily, this is REALLY annoying.

This was a good app until it now, it has stopped opening. I cleared the cashe, restarted, and uninstalled, cleared the data... all a number of times. nothing works. I get a opening screen for a nanosecond and then nothing. my phone says it keeps crashing and to put it 8nto deep sleep. I did call tech support but they were unable to get the app working. it's very sad, because I use this app and now it's not working at all. Still not working after talking to tech support.

Nothing against citi as an institution, this is mostly just their app. I have been entirely unable to apply rewards points for statement credit (this wasnt always broken, but has been for 1+yr though you can direct deposit it). You can't actually pay your bills, though it gives the option (0%success rate). They also don't appear to have push notifications for purchases, which Capital One does. Overall decent, and since they have my Costco card, I'm going nowhere, but sometimes frustrating.

Pretty good user experience. When trying to redeem points, it is kind of a pain but still, it works, just be a bit patient. Not a great time if redeeming point for traveling. They don't let you adjust flights or hotel stays (in my experience). But redeeming for gift cards is easy.

App is fine. I absolutely hate that I cannot use biometrics to sign in. I find it annoying that the 6 digit pin always pops up, because I don't have that set up. And lastly, when I type my password in, and click for my keyboard to go away so I can click the sign in button, the whole app shuts down. Like what?!? The sign in options seem like it should be pretty basic and easy.

I made a large purchase shortly after I got card. Citibank called and said they were freezing my credit limit. That was almost 3 years ago. No late payments and no missed payments ever. Update....2 1/2 years later credit limit still frozen. Income has increased, still no late or missed payment. I also opened a checking account w Citibank a few months ago. Will see how it goes.

customer service is TERRIBLE! All foreign agent that are very hard to understand, they only go by a script, and if it's not in the script, they can't help you. the app is good finally, you used to not be able to transfer funds OUT unless you are on a computer. they fixed that. otherwise, I like the double cash card!

For months now the app is basically useless. I can almost never navigate from more than the main login view. As soon as I click on anything the app just shows the circle of death and never navigates to what I've clicked on. Very inconvenient when I'm not in front of my laptop to execute the action. Please get the bugs worked out so I don't have to leave Citi.

I've used several apps to manage my credit cards; this one is by far my favorite. It shows my payment dates / balance due, recent transactions, and pending transactions very efficiently. What I really like is that as soon as I make a payment, my remaining balance is immediately updated. I wish my other credit card apps did that. My only complaint about this app is if I have a slow data connection, the app will throw up a 6-digit pin request before I finish typing my password.

Buggy and unreliable. The app messed up my request for an online payment. I got stuck with a $30 fee, because they tried to pull from a secondary account that was closed. They never tried primary account, which had plenty to cover the payment . I didn't think I would have to take a screenshot to prove which account I requested they take the payment from. Apparently that's necessary. Citi won't admit their app messed up, and refuses to make it right.

The app works really well. Paying my card bill & seeing my account balances is simple. Movement of money is pretty easy too. It is a bit cumbersome to navigate to viewing scheduled card payments however. They are not retrievable from the card screen. Must go through a few extra steps on the payments (not transfers) screen. 1 star off for that, but still very good.

Deposits are easy. Other things are broken. Needed to send a wire transfer, to a recipient I routinely send to from my computer. When I tried from the app, it doesn't list my past recipients like the website does. No problem I will just re-enter the information. Now it says that I can't use the information because it matches an existing recipient. So it appears to be impossible to send a wire transfer to someone you've already wired before. Complete fail. Tried help line, fail again

Last year this app was working for the most part. There was an occasional error message, but now it's on another level. It's 12/21/2024, the app looks cool, but every touch of the screen causes the app to have a seizure. I'm either getting an arror message, it will take minutes (which is an eternity for apps these days) to load, or it just won't work. I don't understand how some billon dollar companies can't make an app work. They are always adding stuff nobody uses. I'll update review if fixed.

Takes an absurdly long time to load whenever I try to make payments on my credit card, and I'm highly suspicious that it's intentional. It always takes a very very long time to load whenever I go to make a payment, so I usually have to go and do something else before it loads and forget to pay. I would not be surprised if this "long loading" is intentional so people like me forget to pay.

Still like the easy access the mobile app provides and how easy it us to keep track of my purchases. I also like the way they watch for unusual purchases and check with me to be sure they're ok. I do wish they'd reduce the high interest charges. I think in the more than 10 years I've has the account I've only been late once or twice but I usually pay on time or early. I always pay more than the minimum. This should allow them to reduce my interest.
