Description
Been using Cloud Identifier for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that can analyze photos of the sky and tell you what types of clouds you’re looking at. Pretty solid if you’re into weather and cloud spotting.
Here’s what you do: you just take a picture of the clouds and the app will identify them for you. There’s also info on what each cloud type means in terms of weather, which is pretty cool. And you can save all your cloud photos in a personal gallery to track patterns over time – took me a while to figure that one out but it’s a useful feature.
Look, if you’re a weather nerd or just like learning about the sky, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the AI can be a little finicky sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re curious about clouds.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Cloud Identifier. I've tested a bunch of weather and cloud ID apps, and this one's pretty solid overall. The cloud recognition tech works well most of the time, and I like how it gives you the weather implications too. Definitely more advanced than just a simple cloud spotter app. The UI is clean and easy to use too. Downside is it can struggle with certain cloud types, and the ads can get a little annoying if you don't pay. But for a free app, it's pretty darn good.
