Reviews for Clue Cycle & Period Tracker

I've used this app to track for awhile now. It's mostly fine as a simple app to track (without paying for the subscription) but I'm annoyed with the accuracy. It's spot on with when my period will start usually but my periods have always been a little unpredictable. Now the app will say "I'm late" whenever I'm a day or two behind which is normal for my periods. I also don't like that no matter how many months I've been tracking, it always says my periods only last 2 days when they last 5-6.

editing review due to constant ad. originally gave this app 5 stars because it was the best and easiest app for period tracking. I've had this app since 2017. when they sent an email asking about "premium" I answered honestly. I'm not interested in paying a subscription just to track my period. they moved forward anyway. ok cool maybe some people are 🤷🏼‍♀️ but now they just SHOVE it in your face every single entry, every single time on every single page. I JUST WANT TO TRACK my period!!!

The app is good for tracking general menstrual things. UI is fairly intuitive but what drags the rating down for me is how very aggressive the ads are. Every time you open the app something takes the whole screen to bug you to pay quite a lot of extra money for various add ons which I don't believe are worth what you'd get. Sometimes they're so bad that you cannot exit the page without clicking the only button which says you'll buy this or that package. Way too pushy.

Probably going to end up uninstalling after a few days. It has very thorough tracking options for basically every aspect of your cycle but I think it shows an ad asking you to subscribe after literally every page you navigate to and from. I get they need to make money but I feel like a banner ad would be less disruptive and I'd be more likely to subscribe because it wouldn't make me irritated enough to delete the app altogether.

Every time I open the app I have to remove the ad for premium. Then I have to remove the ad again after input my data. It never seems to go away when I first click on the X either. Tired of the multiple steps it takes just use the app. The constant pop up is not going to make me want to pay for premium. Seems a lot people have this issue. Seriously considering a different app.

This is a great app to track your period and fertile windows. I actually used this to get pregnant with baby #3. It's very educational and adaptable and gets"smarter" the more information you put in each day. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it doesn't have a pregnancy function. I had to completely uninstall the app when I got pregnant and so I wasn't able to keep any of my old information to compare with once my cycles started again. It kept sending me notices to insert mo

I've used this app for many years, and I've noticed a huge decline in user experience recently. The actual cycle tracking and analytics features are easy to use, not overly gendered, and well interfaced, but my god you can't open the app and record anything without getting three or four pop-ups about the premium version. If it doesn't improve soon, I'll likely switch to a physical calendar for tracking my cycle.

It's grown very aggressive with its pop up ads for their subscription model over the time I've been using this app. Coincidentally it's always 90% off so that the big scary $99 price tag looks like you're getting an amazing deal. You can still record your shark week without paying a dime, but I'd prefer the only notifications that come from this app be related to my cycle and not cutesy "please open the app uwu" poems that ultimately mean nothing.

I love how much information we can track about various things both physical and mental. I really find this app useful and it helps me prepare for my period. I'm giving it 4 stars (and actually leaving a review) because I'm annoyed with the pop-up and banner ads. Stop having "sales" and just change the price to $7.50 a year. If I wanted clue plus I would have gotten it by now 🤷‍♀️

look. i like this app a lot. it's easy to use, the design is fairly neutral - it's not overly flowery and mostly looks like a normal calendar app at a glance. there's a good amount of things it will track. but I'm so tired of the ads for clue+ after every single input or click. i do not want clue plus. i do not need it. i don't need it for $10/mo, I don't need it for $0.83/mo. leave me alone.

Used this app for years but I can't take how many things are now behind paywalls. I need to pay monthly to see beyond a few months? Give me a break. Basically grew up with this app, now your company greed is going to make me switch. Have fun as I'm sure others are tired too. We are all tired of paying monthly for every little thing, and for my period isn't one. Also, way too many bells and whistles for a tracker.

good learning materials. Very limited tracking options. I'd like to keep track of the degree of mood and cognitive symptoms like for ADHD and anxiety. I'd like a choice for adequate sleep or inadequate sleep (that I get to determine based on knowing the amount sleep I usually need) instead of just woke up refreshed or not. More options for exercise activities and other measurements for activity and outdoor time.

There are too many ads An ad pops up after everything you do, basically. The app was great, but now features that use to be free cost money, and if you input something, an ad instantly pops up afterwards, and I have to back click through up to 3 ads sometimes. I loved the app, but I'll probably look into something else.

The only reason I'm still using this app is because of how many years of my history it has, otherwise, I would switch so fast. It's great for JUST period tracking(bare minimum period tracking at that), anything beyond that costs money, even if it says "unlock for free" that's a fake free. I recently switched to pregnancy mode and the app is basically useless now, can't even track the most basic prenatal without them trying to take your money. Probably won't continue using after this kid.

If I wasn't bombarded with "buy me" ads after years of use it might be better. I have used this app for years. When I first started using it there were no ads at all. Now, there are three ads per recording when I try to use it. If it simply gave me the option to pay away the ads one time, I would rate this higher than three stars. But no, it wants me to pay for some dumb **** subscription for the rest of my life for an app that could be replaced with a notebook.

It's a decent app if you want to track your cycle, but the pop-ups are constant. I get at least 2 promotions for Clue Plus every time I use the app, which I don't want. I've been using the app for years, and I consistently get these. It's a little annoying, but there doesn't seem to be a feature to turn them off, unless you buy the Plus version.

This app used to be good, but they've takeb nearly every single functionality and locked it behind a paywall. I get it that y'all need to make money but it's a dick move to take features that were free and charge for them. There's really no point in using the free version of this app, it's basically just a slightly fancier calendar at this point. I'm uninstalling, although I'm sure they don't care because they probably weren't making any money off me anyway.

an obstructive must-click ad every time you open the app, and the subscription is always "75%" or "90%" on sale so you can pay for access to articles with info you can get for free on Healthline. if there's one time I want my patience to be tested, it's totally when I'm on my period. it's 2025 just advertise your paid service with a banner instead of giving me a hurdle on my blood report. it was tolerable when it only happened after submitting.

Originally 5 stars. As of Jan 2025, it's now 3 stars. Subscription prompts are making the app frustrating and unusable. I had Clue Plus. I got it on sale Jan 2024. It was nice while I had it. I decided not to renew it because I wasn't using the extra features enough to spend full price due the renewal. Now, whenever i use the app, after EVERY ACTION it prompts me to subscribe again to Clue Plus. I've been with Clue since it first came out and I love the platform. I just need it usable again.

A simple app that I liked at first. Cons: a lot of reminding you to pay for a subscription, a lot of scrolling up/down and left/right to add info, and a lot of the features I needed to use were behind a paywall like adding notes or cramp levels. I wish there was some customization I could add too as not every person has the same symptoms. There isn't data deletion within the app-- you have to go to the website to request the data to be removed. I prefer My Calendar.
