I've only just started using this app, but I like it so far. It seems to work well for my needs. The biggest feature it seems to be lacking, unless I'm missing something, is the ability to list multiple formats under a single book entry, rather than having to list the book multiple times for each format you own. Many of my books I have at least an ebook and a physical copy, and some books I've got ebook, paperback, and hardcover. Being able to list all three at the same time would be great.
Reviews for CLZ Books – library organizer
I love how easy it is to look up whether or not a book is in our home library! Initially, I got the app to track storage locations when everything would be in storage but accessible for a year. Yes, there are simpler/cheaper booklist options out there, but this one lets me have all the details of a library catalog. We have over 1500 books, and this definitely helps prevent duplicates!
CLZ is the best way to catalog your books at home, and carry them with you on your phone. There many programs out there to keep track of your library, none of them are as easy or clear or complete as CLZ. The amount of information you can store, including cover image, is tremendous. And the storage is huge. I have 6K books in my file. It's a simple, intuitive program to master. And when you're in the bookstore you won't have to guess which titles you already own. It's simply the best.
I have used this app for the past 4 years as I collect manga, light novels, comics, and books. This app has been the best way for me to keep my collection organized and help me keep track of what I own. I especially like that I am able to manually add in any obscure titles that I may find into the database. I would highly recommend this app for anyone wanting to keep track of their book collection.
Yes, it's an expensive app at $14, but both my husband and I collect book series that have hundreds of titles (Doctor Who and Star Trek) and not buying duplicates has saved me far more than the price. The wishlist feature is also great for when you're at a bookstore with only enough money to buy one book, and you find five more you want; you can scan their barcodes and remember to get them later.
This is, by far, the best organization app for my books I've ever used. It pulls resources from every place it's able I've got over 1400 books I've added location labels and sort order. If you're a book lover, the yearly cost is 100% worth it, it's saved me when I had a bookcase collapse! I've shared this app with family, friends and strangers, I love the online availability, I can create separate lists, sort different ways. I pull up the app while I'm shopping to keep me from buying dups!
I have used book collect for a number of years, all my books are stored and sortable by most headings. Very easy to add new books the isbn search is amazing. One of my favorite features is the wish list I keep all the books I'm missing from a particular set of books when I go to my favorite used book store I keep it open and hunt for those books while there silk peruse other authors and add to list. All in all an easy to use extremely functional app for anyone with a large book collection.
This app has seriously exceeded my expectations. Worth every penny! It has come in handy in bookstores and book sales, when I see a book I want and wonder, "Do I already have that one?" I like also having a permanent inventory of my books in case something ever happens to them. This app is not only a list of books. It gives detailed information about the book, or allows me to add what information I want, even if I've already read it or not. I can search by title, author's name, or ISBN. I have ready access to my inventory of close to 2500 books, and found entering them easier than expected. I highly recommend this app for any book collector.
Nerding out at home. Having some trouble with my older books not matching up with anything in the database, but it's good. I love having things stored in my phone. So much better than my book of lists. Update: this has been a lifesaver for when I forgot that I loaned out some books. I check them out in a folder to specific people. Worth every penny!
This app takes a bit if getting used to at first, but the catalogue is extensive, and most bar codes and isbn numbers can be used to autofill a good chuck of a collection. I personally use this app for manga, and while its only correct about 70% of the time, its still easy to update and change as you see fit. The 'add to core' option makes me feel like im actually helping out the app, so i add data whenever i can. Keep up the good work guys!
