So here's my honest take on Coconote - AI Note Taker. I've tested a bunch of note-taking and productivity apps, and this one's pretty solid. And the AI transcription is surprisingly accurate most of the time, and I like how it organizes everything into study materials. It's not as fully-featured as some other apps, but for the basic stuff like recording lectures and generating notes, it works really well. Definitely helps me save time and get better grades.

Description

Been using Coconote – AI Note Taker for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that can record your lectures and automatically generate study guides, quizzes, and flashcards from the notes. Pretty solid app if you’re a student looking for help with note-taking.

Here’s what you do: you just hit record when your professor is lecturing, and the app will transcribe everything and organize it into useful study materials. And there’s also a feature where you can highlight or add comments, and it’ll incorporate that into the notes. And the flashcards and quizzes it makes are actually pretty helpful – took me a while to figure that out but it’s useful.

Look, if you struggle with taking good notes in class, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the transcription isn’t 100% accurate sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want to take less notes and still ace your exams.

I thought this wasn't worth the price... especially for a college student who can barely even afford to go to college.

Christopher Kusse October 16, 2025

I just started the free trial, so I need some more time to give decent feedback.
