Reviews for Color Portfolio

← Back to Color Portfolio

I downloaded this app before, and it was great! Wanted to change my front door color again, downloaded it, thinking it would be the same. It'sNot! I don't want my front door voile pink, and that's the only color it will let me choose!

absolutely terrible. I take a picture bit it won't let me do anything. sometimes it allows that pink color to pop up but I can't choose anything else. deleting app after 5 seconds

i really like this app, its been helping me plan out my new house colors. what i would love to see added to the app is a way to make my own folders of colors to categorize them for my planning. say im deciding between colors to put in different rooms, being able to have a location where all the colors im considering for the walls or cabinets in my kitchen versus for in my bathroom would be pretty helpful in deciding what colors and what palettes of colors im interested in.

Took a pic of our wall that's very light gray. With and without flash. Returned brown and tan options. Took a min to figure out that it gives you matches based on where you tap on the screen. It must start with the edges (which is odd). There was some shading on edges that liked brown/tan. No instructions about this btw. Had to stumble on it. Almost unistalled when it didn't work. Found some good color matches. Favorite them. Can't find the favorites. If I can't I'll just uninstall. Not useful.

Fun to search colors, but I have no idea how to find colors I've previously liked and "added to my shopping list". So overall not very useful. It used to be much more user friendly.

Loved this app and used it frequently on my old phone. Recently upgraded to a Pixel 10 pro and most of the tools on the app no longer work, e.g. the visualizer is all black, the color collection swatches are all black, etc, rendering the app largely useless.

Unusably broken. Does not properly support modern Android file permissions, so it can't load saved images unless it has full file permissions. Toolbar is inaccessible below the Android navigation bar. No undo. And to top it off, the app is just plain hard to use. No part of it is intuitive.

restaurants. it would be a great app but not only me but all of my colleagues have issues with the collar palettes when you're using the scanner. for some reason, I can't uncheck using certain pallets that are not available in my region so they're useless to me. or once I check it I can't delete it. it's rather not happening or the app crashes. therefore, once I scan the color matches are useless to me as I can't buy this paint. I tried different phones and different devices

I wanted to specifically select shoreline so I searched it and selected but it keeps taking me back to voile pink. I could go through all the swatches and search for that color one by one but then that would defeat the purpose of the search bar doesn't it. If you hit the back button, it takes you completely out of the app. Wish the app was just programmed a bit better.

Has so much potential, but falls flat on basic interface items. There is no way to start a search for a color by color family....only Collections. When you add colors to your favorites, they're added to a fixed list, the swatches can't be moved to see if this color matches that one... Does not sync with website or store system. Disappointing to see that the color reader function requires a really expensive device.

Worth it for a chance to see a general idea. Simple no frills. No other app to compare to. Not easy, not hard. Ahaaa when figred out. We had fun trying out all home colors. Taking screenshots help in the end for deciding. Part of viewing saves was kind of complicated. Maybe just me. Remember, its a general idea. We saw the difference of paint colors when we went to the store and large hardware warehouse. We got 5 samples sizes for tests.

User interface for the photo visualizer is terrible. Unable to effectively paint a surface in a photo. Magic wand colors everything in the picture and not just a single surface. Can't select color to use from the search results. Search results don't show a color's number so it's near impossible to select a color from the cards without knowing its number beforehand. Only good for browsing the colors they offer. Useless as a visualizing tool.

Very disappointing. The Color Capture app was great and you scaled it down a LOT. That app showed what colors went well with another color. You no longer offer this great feature. You deleted the Color Capture App too that makes no sense too. When you save favorites, it's not a list of your favorite colors. You see your favorite colors for the collection you are in. We now have to remember if the favorite we are looking for is in the preview collection, classic collection, historical.... And when you see your favorite it's just tiny bar I also have a very nice phone (Galaxy Note 10+) and the app keeps crashing. I'm trying the photo visualizer and as soon as you try to save your creation, it crashes and the photo is not saved. I have plenty of space and have rebooted the phone.

So much potential, but trying too hard. Suggest losing the "surface" feature in lieu of just touching the area to be "painted", don't need to select where the photos are coming from every time and make the color selection to the photo simpler. Never did figure out what the "magic wand" was. Just allow for lighter and darker shade selections on the same page.

Downloaded because I previously colored a photo of my house on the browser app and wanted to access it since I couldn't log in from mobile Chrome. I didn't see an option to log in to the Benjamin Moore account I set up to save the recolored picture and, when I tried to recreate it, the colors I had used (from the Colonial Williamsburg Collection) aren't available, even if you search by name instead of browsing the missing collection. At that point I gave up, so I can't speak to usability issues.

This app is missing the Williamsburg colors and is missing any way to create a portfolio of the paint actually in my house (beyond designating favorites). And, it's missing a color coordinator. I was hoping to input the paint I've chosen and play with suggestions for paint that will contrast with and complement it. It does have a good search feature (if you know name or #) and a nice link to purchase products. Wish I could see purchase history from my local SW store.

Color shows up transparent on photos. It doesn't suggest trim colors or anything. The BM website has better information even if you can't view it in your room. It doesn't have collections like colors of the year, most popular, etc. Mostly just view virtual paint chips and purchase. You can't compare colors, you can't put them side by side. It doesn't suggest colors like if I want a pale blue for my north facing bathroom, which one won't look gray or too blue.

It's okay if all you want to do is scroll colors, but most features either don't work or don't work properly. It's also very temperamental and will throw you back to the previous page for the slightest thing. Let's just say that if I weren't already a fan of BM paints and this app was my first impression, I wouldn't buy their products because I'd assume the same care they put in the app is the same care they put into their paints.

Awful. First of all, it's hard to use. And regardless, it's completely useless because the colors on the app don't match reality AT ALL: We applied a color (Allspice) to a photo of our kitchen cabinets. The image didn't seem to match the color sample card from the store; so we held the card up to the phone to compare, and it wasn't even close. What the sample card displayed for the colors was shockingly, astonishingly different from the app's image. As in, nowhere close. So what's the point?

frustrating waste of time. App is too stupid to select wall vs trim. It selects whole surface, then one tiny piece of trip at a time. Doesn't give you any idea what it will look like. plus, there's no way to edit your selections, you spend a bunch of time adding the colors you want and then you can't find them to add to your picture, all I can find is some stupid pink color Basically all they want to do is sell you paint. I am going to delete the app, not worth wasting any more time on it.
