The scanner doesn't work on any of the comics. I tried for all 75 I got through today, and not a single one was found through the scanner, I had to manually search for each individual comic.

I use the app mostly for the barcode scanner and somewhat quick reference, in case I am not sure if I have a book or not. But I love the website and how it's helped me with my collection.
Over a decade and it only gets worse. Done the lifetime member and I keep it in hope of it becoming a true contender. for now, I just keep track of my books, that is, when it chooses to load, or save, or be of any use
The page doesnt 'load more' comics when it is pressed. This is very frustrating because i read this is one of the best catalog apps.... The scanner also doesn't always work.
After 2 days and spending 18.99 on it the system says there is an error loading. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling and still the same issue. Not what I was expecting.
A LOT! better than the last time I used it but still needs work. The website is still the best way to interface with a site. keep up the good work. would be very useful for someone who has a very large collection and needs to do a lot of research quickly.
Im not happy. I just spent the money to have this & no matter what barcode i scan the same damn comics come up, the New Mutants, i'm not scanning any New Mutants! Why can't someone make things easier by allowing us to scan the comic cover instead of a damn barcode. Do golden era comics even have barcodes? Could someone PLEASE HELP ME FIX THE DAMN SCANNER. Thanks.
Nice app to finally keep track of comic prices on my phone. However, it would really make it easier in the next update if for series that have a large # of issues there was a way to move directly to a specific issue #, or at least a range of issue #'s.
You guys please for the love of god I will give 5 star review if you add feature that allows you to scan multiple books at one time. Also everytime I press back after scanning a book it goes back to main menu not to the scanner. Minor annoyance but huge impact on usability.
Ok. Now we are talking. I asked for a refund. Then bought the app again. Now it's working. Awesomeness. SUGGESTION: Place sample scans of the comic grades so non technical collectors would have an idea what they actually have Purchased the app so i can know the prices of the comics i inherited. The collection tab is not user friendly. It does not have tick boxes that allows you to just select comics you want to remove ala email inbox.
Purchased this app specifically for the scan function. Despite everyone saying it was horrible i saw the developers replying to peoples reviews that it was updated and worked much better. 40 comics in and it only worked properly on one of them. Tried comics from every age. The rest of the app works great but if your buying it for the scan option dont waste your money.
Any time I try to search books at this point, I can't. Consistently says that an error occurred and to try again. However it never changes. Rebuilding the app from the bottom up has pretty much killed all usefulness of it. UPDATE: finally was able to get back into my account
is not syncing to my account nor allowing me to search and add new comics. not a great experience just use the website since the app developer isn't interested in fixing the app...see their response to my review above. no I don't have much collection in multiple piles nor do I have thousands of issues, and let's just ignore the issue with searching not working by saying they're not sure.
The scanner is much improved since the last update, thanks for that. For some reason, covers are not visible for any searched books, or ones I already have in my collection. Not sure if this a problem on your end or mine, but it has only recently happened. Other.than that, love the app. Developers advise a solution very quickly, that fixed my issue. Changed my rating to 5 star. Love this app
This application is very basic and they ask for 14.99 dollars. The app is bare woth so much white space. Not sure why we can see who wants which comic. I guess for selling. The list goes on. Not worth it at that price for what they have. Should be 5.99 dollars instead and just use the pc version for free.
App is terrible and not worth the money. barcode scanner feature doesn't work, It comes up with nothing if you type in the barcode manually. You have to constantly login and out to reflect what you have in your collection after have selected comic books to add. I've uninstall and reinstalled and still nothing works.
Update Sep 2024 - started seeing error and unable to sync collection at all in mobile app, Web is working (exported collection). Dumped cache and data, re-logged in, no luck. Posted on forums. Hoping developer can fix soon. -- I've been using CBR since the 1990's when it was My Comic Pile. Been looking around for an alternative lately, but none of the other collection aps have all the features of CBR. It may be simple, but it does a great job of delivering everything you need in one app.
It's great for most use cases and does what it says it does. I do love it and use it frequently as my main tool. Better than key collector. Minor criticisms: - some covers missing from their database that I cannot log, but that's uncommon. Would love to be able to add my own ad-hoc - Issue values are usually wrong and I am not able to adjust the price, which makes it so that the collection $ is incorrect and undervalued - barcode scanner UI is basic and not the best
I've been using CBR for several years now and absolutely love it. The site is free to use & the app only cost a one-time $15 charge. Completely worth it considering how convenient it is to have easy access to my collection. My only critique is that, if you add a book through the app, it doesn't automatically add it to your collection; you have to sign out and back in- BUT adding through the site takes immediately. I don't know why, but it isn't a huge ordeal. Just took me awhile to figure out.
