There’s a ton of useful features – you can browse expert Buying Guides, get personalized recommendations based on your needs, and even ask questions that the CR team will answer. It’s got a huge database of tested products and honest, unbiased ratings. Takes some getting used to, but overall it’s a pretty solid app.
Look, if you’re the kind of person who likes to do research before making big purchases, you’ll probably love this. It’s not perfect – the app can feel a little cluttered at times – but it does the job. Definitely worth checking out.

I've tested a bunch of shopping and review apps, and Consumer Reports is one of the better ones. The database of product ratings and reviews is super comprehensive, and I like that they never take advertising money so the advice is truly unbiased. The new AI-powered 'AskCR' feature is pretty cool too - it makes it easy to get expert opinions on stuff you're thinking of buying. And on the downside, the app can be a little overwhelming at first with all the different sections and tools. And the UI feels a bit dated compared to some of the competition. But overall, it's a great resource for informed shopping.
