Reviews for CONTOUR DIABETES app (US)

app looks pretty, but stops registering actual info from the cloud. currently 2 days of testing behind. monster picks up right away, but Contour app does not. closing and opening my phone seems to be the only way it takes the readings. Will not allow me to enter manually. No! I will not be calling customer service to further waste time and add frustration. Thanks for the meter. just the app is no good. Thankful have Monster to keep accurate records for me!

The app itself looks nice, but it refused to sync with my phone after an update. The whole reason I went with this meter was because of the Bluetooth sync functionality. Luckily I got it free, although I still had to pay for their expensive strips. I have since switched to OneTouch Viero Flex. It syncs to all my devices without any issue. Their strips are less expensive too!

Very nicely done app. It's easy to use and convenient. Needs an indication that the meter is connected. Would also be nice to delete unused labels (user ID). Otherwise, I find the app very clear and concise. Automatically recording your glucose history is so important for keeping up with your trends. It's perfect for aiding in diet and exercise adjustment to maintain control of your diabetes.

The application as advertised would be great, but it started to be difficult to get it to accept a reading everytime. I have to turn on and off both the meter and the app several times to get it to accept a test reading. I would also like to be able to send my readings to either my computer or printer. I could do that with my old meter. Update: the update did not improve it's operation. Still freezes.

1st day. I find this app is pretty difficult to use, specially logging in food, I have to look up everything to find out the carbs count. Also syncing takes time to have the information on my other devices. I have to use a second app to find the carbs of all the food. I also think that it is kind of complicated. It needs to be more simple than that. I like the app "Lose it" a lot because it gives all choices for the food when you look it up, even with different brands and restaurants' name.

About broke my phone during a high sugar rage because every edit I made to my note was erased when the app kept trying to sync. Great app otherwise, fix the sync. Also, for those troubled by the location permission, just don't connect your meter. I know, it seems to defeat the purpose, but all having your meter connected does is save you from typing in the reading yourself, you still need to note anything else (food, meds, activity) manually anyway.

If you want to track glucose over time with an app, look elsewhere. The data mining reviews are accurate. Wants permission it doesn't need, you don't need gps, full storage, full phone, and full network to pair and exchange data via Bluetooth. The device is nice and I'll use it, but I was hoping to track glucose over time with an app and not excel.

App used to work great. About 2 months ago it started asking me to reconnect with Walgreens. When I'd enter my credentials, it would sometimes reconnect & sometimes just go back to the login prompt. Recently (last ~3 weeks) it's been crashing when it shows syncing to contour cloud. Reinstall of the app seems to clear the problem for a day or 2.

It's unnecessary to track and display locations for testing. I understand it's necessary to allow the permission, but you can't even edit the approximate location, only tag it as home, gym, etc. All of my readings have my neighbor's address! The lack of an ability to delete bad readings is another problem. I've deleted the app and I'm going back to using a spreadsheet for tracking.

great idea, but quirky... bluetooth doesn't sync well unless u do manually. don't try 2 sync glucometer to more than 1 device... enter dosage, save, THEN enter notes otherwise it doesn't save. or it saves then later disappears. now (may 2019) it just crashes all the time. many extra redundant steps required for various tasks... disruptive "warning" pop-ups at the worst times... cannot delete some entries once made. apart from that... LOL it has been a big help & will b great once developed!
