Reviews for CoPilot GPS Navigation

← Back to CoPilot GPS Navigation

I've been using this as my primary navigation app for almost five years. I find it to be very easy to use and very customizable. My only complaint is that in a recent update, the developer removed the settings where I could specify my typical driving speed on different types of roads. After this change, I've noticed that the estimated ETA is not as accurate as it used to be. Before this setting was removed, when taking a 2 hour drive, the estimated ETA and the actual ETA would usually be less the 5 minutes apart. Now, the estimated ETA is about 15 minutes greater than the actual ETA. Please bring back this setting.

I've been using CoPilot for several years. It suits my needs, the price is reasonable, maps are updated frequently. I spend too much time in areas without cell service. Having the maps loaded on my device is a life saver. I seldom rate products and I'm one who thinks there is always opportunity for improvement so nobody should ever receive more than four stars. This is one software that has always worked for me.

I have had the Copilot Truck GPS for over a year. 2 months in a row, the GPS has shut down when the monthly renewal expires. My subscription is on automatic payment. I uninstalled/reinstalled first time. Clearing the data and cache fixed it 2nd time. However, I lost all my data, favorites, vehicle size, etc. Has to download a map EACH time. (When I have it set to save the maps on SD card. The maps are still there.)

Been using Copilot for what seems like a life time. I stopped when Android Auto was introduced. But hey it now has an AA app. However the information displayed is minimal, there is no speed limit, speedometer nor does it show traffic/progress bar. I'm surprised to see that you can run the app on the phone & AA simultaneously, where the missing infor on AA is visible on the phone. I'm hoping these issues get resolved with updates.....good to have you back

Havent used this app in a long time so decided to come back years later to see what kind of improvements they made. They backtracked! They removed a lot and Im not sure why. I loved before that it told me how much I would spend in gas for each route and could take the cheapest one. Also slows down your phone and crashes occasionally. Way to go killing your app

First of all I just noticed that I've been making "annual" payments TWICE per year. Second, this app will add many unnecessary miles, and time to the route. This I've noticed in the area that I am local to, God only knows how much fuel and time I've wasted when I didn't know where I was.i will not be using this platform any longer, as there isn't even a way to contact a customer support team. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS APP!!!

Terrible "update" used to have better search with yelp... that went away, now took away the option to zoom to the next turn, that's gone, used to easily be able to go from 2d to 3d and also go back and get to the home menu without loosing your route, now that's gone... This is a down grade, I will not be spending money for the traffic option when my renewal time comes.

Great for routing, but can't purchase and no help from support! I'm a floating school bus driver meaning I could be assigned to a different route any day, any time. I have used this to be able to enter in multiple stops, for many routes and saved those routes in case I go back to do the same one again. My trial is expiring and I went to purchase but the transaction keeps being declined from the CoPilot Store and comes back with an error code that the store cannot process transactions. Help!!

Frustrating. Was considering purchasing a commercial license for this app but figured I'd give it a try first. Glad I did. If you're looking for something to give you guidance on truck stops or rest stops or even if a fueling station will accommodate your rig, this is not the app for you. Navigating the help section is nearly impossible. I accidentally found a help section that I was looking for only to find out it wouldn't help. Could go on but out of space. Stick with Google, at least its free.

I'm a fan of Copilot's services, the navigation is generally accurate in terms of traffic, location, speed, and routing, but the major dealbreaker is that I'm constantly having difficulties with my license. Every so often when starting the app on one of my logged in devices (even running it on only one device over the course of several weeks), the app seems to either forget that I have an account connected to it and begin first time routing setup again, or log me in and fail to read my license.

I have been using it for about 2 years. I loved it, but you did an update. Now, when I use search nearby or at the destination, I can't see all the locations at the same time I have to select each one individually and compare, i can't zoom in properly see a town, or route properly, i have to look at directions then press avoid road before all i had to do was press the road where I wanted to avoid.

1, App is no longer usable without internet connection after Android 10 update. Copilot knows about the issue and hasn't updated their product since November of last year. I opened a ticket and was told they know about the problem, then they closed my ticket. I re-opened ticket and still no response. 2, Need Google search back as well. Yelp search is absolutely worthless. After 20 plus years of using this app I have been forced to go back to Google maps. You really need to fix your app ASAP.

Works well, mostly. Used it for over a year and it's no worse than others as far as sending you out of your way. Runs you out of your way sometimes. The biggest problem is that if you use it all of the time and leave it on your screen, it can burn into some screens. My Note 4 has a permanent shadow on the screen from this app. I've since moved to a GPS device with its own screen. Also can wear on your device's battery, being on or plugged in all of the time.

Tried it 2 years ago, was buggy and inaccurate. Was bad then, looks like it's worse now (11/18/24). More than once I was directed onto a no truck route, so I've no idea where they get their data from. They wanted $119/yr back then. We have it on our ELD'S, free from our employer, won't even bother with using it. I'm waiting for GOOGLE AI to take all the known truck specific routes and put them into maps. If AI had a useful purpose, it's in this arena.

I have been using this app for my truck GPS for the last 7 years. After this last update the app is unusable as a GPS, as you get to your turn it zooms all the in, I was in the turn lane and couldn't even see the road I was turning onto on the GPS. I zoom it out while I'm driving and it just zooms all way back in every 5 seconds. Not sure why they updated this app, should've spent more time updating the maps as they are at least 10-15yrs behind.

Not a big fan of the most recent update, seems clunkier, uses way too much battery and system memory and now seems very difficult to change a route while driving... which of course you probably should be pulling over but you can't always do that if your trying to avoid a road closer due to a recent accident. New map is easier to read but everything else feels worse. Also used to be able to select a road and have it route through that area, which appears to be gone as well.

Out of the blue, the app updated without my permission during a trip. Everything is different for THE WORST!!! Good luck seeing anything with how small the interface is, and you have no control over the zoom level. You can't even move the view without it changing to totally random orientations. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!! Nothin was wrong with the previous version, it was perfect as it was. I'll now only be using Google Maps and my atlas. At least those I can see and have control of.

It's been many many months since my last review last year and the developer STILL has yet to enable updating the maps over a cables Ethernet connection. If there's no wifi or cell to update in a remote are and Ethernet is what you have then you are sol. Such a simple fix should be easy to implement.... UPDATE 5/19/2025: This app once again STILL does not allow updating over ethernet......two YEARS to implement such a basic needed fix

so far it's pretty good. I'm using it to deliver all around Atlanta in semi residential areas with a 33 ft box truck. Things of note that I would like to see - The ability to skip a store while on the map page, possibly tapping on the icon. the ability to zoom out while using driving directions. the option to optimize my route while also listing stops in the order I choose. I would also like to see my next turn possibly in the right hand corner that way I know what lane I need to fight to getin

Seems to be OK so far. It would be nice for the RV version when you are searching for POI like a Loves or petro that it shows it on the map along your route. Right now you click the map icon on the right and its just a blank screen. Kind of makes it hard when you are doing it on the fly trying to get an idea how far away from a fuel stop.
